Sherri says
The “Old” market. You know the one.
Stacie says
I would go see the gardens or find a library. I love flowers and being in nature because it is so calming compared to the bussle of a city. I like to slow down and enjoy the roses and read a good book.

I would join Miranda on the Terraces and drink some lovely pink wine!
Miranda says
I would sit on the Terraces and drink some lovely pink wine!
Omar Jimenez says
Eat. A bunch. And record the fights that would erupt on the street randomly.
But I can’t promise I also wouldn’t try to break into/start up the black market for Dahlia genetics. Seems like it might be a lucrative business.
Kim says
Ooooh! I would love to have a home with a garden of dahlias so that I could just sit back and vegetate. I would also read Radia’s version of Ilona Andrews books.

Erica Carter says
Please tell me they have museums. Art museums, historical buildings, day trip to the terraces.
Getting involved in, or anywhere near clan battles is a hard no. I’m not sure about food – I’d probably stick with vegetarian dishes. I’m pretty set on what proteins I eat and I imagine that’s very different in another planet. I’d like to be adventurous with food, but sadly I am not.
Kelly Hollister says
I would totally be checking out the food! Then I would head out with a full belly to check out all the plants. I would satu out of any battles.
Mimi says
Definately find some pink wine and passion cones! And perhaps pick up some dahlias for my garden.
Claire says
I would seek out the maker of passion cones and beg for the recipe.

I feel more balanced to handle real life.)

Keri says
If I was given the chance to visit Rada, I would visit the provinces. I couldn’t get involved in the battles between clans because they are way more ruthless & calculating than I am.

A day hiking to the egg temple and camping there overnight – the adventure! I would start my own cleaning/catering business and work my way into all the Kinsmen houses and events until I had enough information on them all to start my own gossip/tmz blog (no one ever notices the help). I would share info on all the Kinsmen’s dirty laundry to the public, and probably be quickly discovered and murdered by one of them – but it would be a wild ride while it lasted!!

P.S. Here on earth there is every chance I will die trying to pet something I shouldn’t.
Moderator R says
Obviously! 😀
breeeee says
Oooh!
I’d start by shopping for fabrics at the market at the terraces, as a cover to meet my contact. They’d pass me the details of my next mission. Next I would of course get a passion cone or three – need to keep my energy up. After I would head to my sewing shop (all a front of course), set my purchases down, and head on to the back. There I would log onto the bionet where I would complete the mission ahead of schedule and spend some time taking in the sights of the bionet. Finally, after logging off and closing up the shop, I’d have a sunset diner with my handsome love interest in a flower garden.
Moderator R says
They better watch out, the eagle has very much landed 😀
Wendy Morrey says
If I could visit to Rada I would want to link to the bionet. I would love to see what my mind would show me. Would I be in skyworld where you had to climb and glide from 🌳 to 🌳? Or would I move though a desert with hidden pockets of water and caves? Or would my mind imagine a mountainous terrain with cliffs and ravines. How much of my past preferences and childhood play into what I see?

And the pink wine! And of course buy random souvenirs for myself, my family, and my friends.
Jennifer Kitchens says
I would love to visit Rada! Food, flowers, marketplaces, beaches- I wonder if I would catch a glimpse of some favorite characters? Did I mention food, yet? I would like to imagine that I would turn out to be a total badass if a fight broke out near me- but how do I know who are the good guys??? 😁

I… don’t know what I would do? All the suggestions sound wonderful (especially the passion cones), but I think once I got to Rada, I would just have to see what happens next. Do I meet a kinsman in the Terraces, leading to involuntary involvement in some political scheme? Become a gardener specializing in dahlias? A baker who challenges tradition by adding a new ingredient to passion cones?
The possibilities….

Kimberlyn Williams says
I’d have to eat at the Terraces. It would be like a yarn or bar crawl, only for food. Although…what is the yarn situation on Rada do they yarn? If they do, I would have to say that the perfect visit would include lots of eating and yarn shopping. Okay AND I want to look at the flowers. Maybe they do knitting/needlwork retreats and I can sign up for one of those, get there early, eat all the stuff at the Terraces, go to the retreat, which will be situated in a bower of flowery loveliness, and work on my projects with other yarn and needlework fans.
Yes. I’m ready to go. Also, I’m hungry. I need some meat on skewers with a tangy fruity sauce on tasty rice with some crispy barbecued veggies. I might start with that when I hit the Terraces.

Julia says
I would go to the New Delphi botanical gardens!
Shiloh Gibson says
Well, getting involved with a Kinsmen battle seems counterintuitive to exploring a new world, so that’s out. Flowers? With my luck, I’d be deathly allergic. One whiff and POOF, being shipped home in cold storage. Nope.
Well, I do like food. A lot. Now, if I DIDN’T end up allergic to everything (50/50 odds), I would be all over trying all the yummy food. Mmmmmm, food. Then I’d probably eat myself into a food coma with a healthy food baby. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
John Hampton says
I don’t know, I am ashamed that this is the one series I haven’t read yet.😮💨
Jessica C says
First, open a flower shop. Growing the best flowers in the region, giving the best customer service, becoming the most reliable and prosperous shop. Soon, opening more shops and becoming the ‘Starbucks’ of Flowers within the Terraces. What no one knows is it’s secretly an information guild. Collecting information on each kinsman family’s flowers, building a database, and selling to other families for exuberant prices. But only related to flowers, nothing fatal/life threatening. Example: The Quattrone family has white/pink flowers planned for their daughter’s wedding. The flowers are weak against high PH water. Sell that information to their rival, the Garcia’s. After the wedding is ruined, turn around and tell the Quattrone family what flowers are being used for Garcia’s son’s Christening. Embrace the chaos.

I’m loving the entrepreneurship! 😀
kristin says
Haha! This is probably my new favorite form of espionage.
Jenna in Genoa says
Rada.
Is it bleak and desolate? Cold and snowy? Warm and inviting? Ever changing and annoying, like the State of Nevada’s volatile and varied spring weather?
I don’t know. I’ve never read of there.
I can only imagine what it’s like from the snippets available in the samples my e-reader allows me to download.
Alas, I am only a neophyte when it comes to the Kinsmen universe.
I have a huge list of books I want to read and then I have a checkbook… sadly, my checkbook is lacking the necessary funds to purchase the books.
So, my list waits, haunting my nights and days with wishes as yet unfulfilled. Batman’s alter ego, I am not.
I have a love/hate relationship with the local library. I ask for a popular title and they say, “It’s out right now. Maybe you can pick another title? Or get on our list… there are only three-hundred-and-six people ahead of you.”
Please, forgive me my whiney, sad-sack words — I am but pitiful being, lacking the means to indulge my passion for books.
I believe I’ll go now, and re-read my favorite Innkeeper Chronicles, or perhaps a Kate Daniels series ebook while I dream of expanding my personal library.
Go on about your day. Nothing to see here. All is as it should be.
[Sniff, sniff. ::sigh::]

I wouldn’t last long in a battle and I tend to be wary of “strange” foods. At one point I thought I was pretty sophisticated because I ate so many ethnic foods. Then I realized I eat chicken: Kung pao chicken, teryaki chicken, Ethiopian chicken stew, chicken tacos. So I think I’d wander the flowe gardens with great joy!
Lea says
I would wander through the terraces, the markets and flowers. See all the people, the culture the kinsmen buildings (with their amazing architecture). I would buy the fruits and the flowers, eat the fruits and press the flowers and take a million pictures. Then I would go home and paint a dozen paintings of what I considered the essence of the culture, write a poem on canvas to go with each painting to give words the the emotion I felt for each scene and add one of the pressed flowers to the poem canvas and hang each poem and corresponding painting all over my walls so that I can soak in Rafa whenever I want to

The first thing that came to my mind was that I want a piece of the design of those buildings on the background of the cover. I make sure buildings don’t fall down for a living, and now that I’ve noticed the towers with an arc I’m puzzling. tying them together makes it doable if the tie is super strong i think, but it would be tricky for any forces from mother nature. I also love the giant neo-mosque. it’d be cheating if the neo-mosque hid a straight leg for the arc tower because then the tower would be easier.

I would definitely go for the food first – although I feel that way about of the stories you guys write lol. I’m usually left drooling. I want to try some passion cones. You even make me want to try pink wine and I don’t like wine (or the taste of any alcohol lol). I would love to see the flowers and be able to magic like the Kinsnen too, but I feel like I’m getting greedy.
Glenda Hefty says
I would be checking out the food but also enjoy flowers 😊
An says
I would go on a foodie tour at night & ground garden tours during the daylight hours, with every 4th day, I’d visit the markets and see if I could afford to buy a cure for my bad eyes. I’d hire a “sighted guide/bodyguard” to keep me out of trouble.
Ashleigh says
If I were in Rada, I’d probably try to cram a bit of everything into the trip. Grab some passion cones to go and eat them picnic style in the gardens. The flowers would be great inspiration for painting! And I’d love to see some magic—- from a safe distance, of course!
Rae Hartley says
I would fly an aerial all over the place, watch a nice sunset and try to eat some passioncones. If I were braver, I would try to befriend Meli, but I’m intimidated by her awesomeness.
lia says
ah, I would love a copy! Silver Shark and Silent Blade are my favorites (followed closely by The Edge series).
First thing I’d do on Rada – go to the markets and try all the fruits and veggies! They all sounded so colorful and different in the novellas. And then, look for passion cones (with lemon, of course!).
Angel Gantzia says
I would hunt down the passion cones, and then go flower-watch.

While people watching would be interesting. I think going out to visit the islands would be most interesting. All of my favorite characters reminisced and loved their time in the “countryside” and to see nature on an alien planet would be awesome
Kat Meservy says
I would go to the market and eat then go to the gardens.
nedibes says
I would interview some politicians (or their aides, more realistically and practically). Rada’s immigration policy for refugees is remarkably sane and I’d love to learn more about how it works and how they got it instituted. Ideally while enjoying some delightful pastries in a flower garden.

Omg, this is so exciting! If I was on Rada I’d love to visit the Terraces and follow my nose Celino style – maybe that way I too will discover delicious passion cones being made fresh from the oven!

Olga says
If I got to visit Rada, I would be all over the food and the flowers and the architecture! Me and my husband love to come to new cities and explore as much as we can in the time we have. I’d eat all of the local pastries and obsess over all of the different flowers. The idea makes me want to book a trip now!
I love the kinsmen universe books! Most of them are short and sweet and i’ve reread them over and over so many times. Such a perfect way to get out of your head!
Sher C says
It’s all about tasting all the foods and being in nature for a bit. And I have to experience the passion comes.

Try to see everything we can for our Rada vacation.
PS. Hope your next week is better
Momz says
Depending on how much time I had, I would start with the gardens and taking in all the beautiful scenery that I could. I would visit where the dance between Matias and Ramona sealed their love and relationship and absorb as much of the ambiance of that setting as possible, and if I had the time; I would sit there in the hotel on a balcony facing the area and reread Fated Blades. I would envision their blades blazing and glinting in the duel and smile knowing the conclusion, no only of the battle, but of their relationship. 🙂
Kwhitley says
If I got to visit Rada, I would try to get a taste of those passion cones and spend every penny I could on dahlia tubers of my own, because I am so curious about what amazing varieties have been bred on the planet!

Patricia Kading says
I’d be a tourist visiting Rada, walking along the Terraces and experiencing the different deserts available. As a culinary expert from halfway across the known worlds I came to Rada to see and taste all that my first love had told me about as a young woman. I’d loved him dearly, and lost him too soon.
My life went on, I finished culinary school and married. Had children with a man I loved and cherished. But I never forgot him. And after my husband passed I was restless. I dreamed of him. My lost love. So I came to Rada, a woman in her 90’s to see where my love walked, to taste the passion cones he’d eaten as a child.
So yeah that’s what I’d do.
Elizabeth says
Since this is a ‘visit’ I am going to assume I am on vacation so I am 100% going to the Terraces to relax and sip pink wine and share passion cones with my spouse.
Michelle says

mdy says
I’d want to attempt a “pilgrimage” of sorts to retrace the steps of Matias and Ramona, though I suspect I’d get airsick in an aerial. haha!
So start at New Delphi, a stop at the Terraces, the First Wave temple, stay at the Kamen in Adra . . . but I’ll happily skip Senator Drewery’s property, thank you very much.
Sarah Johnson says
I would go to the market and people watch.
Ursula Urrutia says
I’m a total foodie so I would definitely have to go to the Terrace to check out the food scene. But after that I’d see if I can get some private fight lessons from Matias and Ramona.
Jody says
I would eat passion cones and learn to dance.
Jenny says
Passion cones! I’d try to find authentic ones.
Erika G says
Well, I would totally tourist out and do everything! The best part of traveling is the food and sites, especially museums and gardens. I wouldn’t want to get in a fight because dying would ruin my vacation but watching one would be amazing.
Katie Broderick says
I would definitely be all about the food so first stop Terraces! People watching at the market would be high on my list so that too – and bonus more food!
RQ says
☺️ I am wondering, as one of your many international dwelling Book Devouring Horde members, if a giveaway might be possible whereby the winner is happy to pay the postage? I for one would jump at that chance 💜

So many things to do — it would be hard to decide but I think I would go to the market to sample the foods, which would also give me the chance to “watch the animals” as my BIL used to call it when he would accompany my sister to trade shows and markets before they both past away. Would I go near a clan battle? No because I’m not nosy enough to die red shirt style. But…. I am very curious to see the strength, skill, and agility in action. Do they even need their hands to paint/create art? What subject matter they sculpt, & what do they sculpt with? Do they have colors we’ve never seen? Are they able to see colors we aren’t able to see?

As a very amateur flower gardener I would talk to as many locals as possible about growing techniques, soils, fertilizers, pest control, different strains/types hybrid and heirloom stock,,,,,,, the list is endless and of course beg and barter for some seeds, bulbs and tubers (bring some of my own to share) Since this is a fantasy world I wouldn’t have to worry about travel and transport restrictions of course 😉
Then I would have to go find a outdoor cafe and relax, meet more locals and share some passion cones. It would be such a joyful relaxing trip. I think I’m going to go to a garden nursery today.

Definitely the markets. Whenever we are lucky enough to travel we always try to get to a local market. People watching there is so much fun. You never know what you will find in a market. In Ecuador, I was in a market watching an Abuela spin llama fleece into yarn. I spoke to her and mentioned that I had always wanted to know how to do that. She invited me to sit down and learn. It is harder than you think. I kept dropping the spindle wrong and all my work kept unraveling. Eventually, I managed to spin about 2 yards of wool. All the locals kept coming by to watch the crazy Gringa. Fun! I imagine that the markets in Rada would be fun to explore.
Veanna says
I would be sampling all the food.
Danielle says
Fun! As a garden-loving girl, I’d be visiting to see the flowers. I visiting botanical gardens every place we vacation.
Peggy says
The flowers, of course. Touring around and then going to eat would be number two (Makes me smile just to think about this.)
Elena H says
Definitely some combination of time outside with the flowers and time inside visiting Rada’s equivalent of museums!
Yvonne says
I would wholeheartedly go find all of the foods and then take a nice stroll through the gardens. Most importantly, I’d find a grocery store so I could bring delicious eats back 😃
Starling says
I regret to say I would immediately bypass all the city stuff and head straight to the provinces, where I would go on a dahlia-themed garden tour. (They have to have those, yes?) My dahlias are just starting to bloom and I’m beginning to understand why it’s one of those obsession flowers, like roses and orchids.
Mary says
If I were given a chance to visit Rada, I would want to walk around looking at all the gorgeous and fragrant flowers, visit a tea shop after window-shopping the dress shops, look in awe at all the beautiful and scary-powerful people, and check out the downtown skyrise towers.
Elyse Johnson says
Go to the market, shop, eat. Try passion cones.
Ashley says
I would LOVE to visit Rada! Would definitely want to spend time at the Terraces eating passion cones and exploring the city and winding roads after. One of the reasons I love to read is to explore how society could be.
Annnnd it’s definitely time for a reread of Kinsmen! Silver shark is one of my favorite books. I even got my husband to read it and at the end he was so sad it was just the one with Claire. He said “but Claire is so cool!” 🤣 My husband is so busy that he gets distracted and rarely finishes books, so this is the HIGHEST of praises.
CatS says
A visit to a summerhouse in the provinces to view the star flowers by moonlight.
elf Noyes says
I would set at one of the terraces, drink pink wine and watch the world go by. Or perhaps visit the shore to watch the colorful life forms dance in the waves

Kathy says
It would have to be the flowers, I freaking love flowers, any kind any where.
Pattie O’ says
Boy oh boy! I’d have to eat 1st, then stroll through the gardens while my meal digested, then after my physical and soul self were taken care of I’d go help with
the clan battles, as a healer, noncombatant.
Trudy says
I’d go to the Terraces on Rada and indulge in the exquisite cuisine. I’d gape at all the wealthy patrons and their fancy ways like the Clampetts in The Beverly Hillbillies.
Sherin says
The market and passion cones…
Carol Greenwood says
My passions are books and food so that’s where my adventures would go. I might manage enough time to explore some battles though.
Gwen says
For me, it would be the flowers. My trip would be focused on seeing public gardens and flower markets.

It feels like cheating, but, yes, I’d just enjoy the flowers and try all the food at the Terraces.
Carri says
I would love to see the flowers.
Nic says
I would love to see the gardens and all the dahlias!
Jessica Melton says
I am so uncoordinated that the battles would not end well for me, and people really aren’t my jam even though I love food I would still probably pass up the market BUT the flowers are right up my alley and the landscape and greeny in these books sounds stunning so that would be where you would find me.
BeckyC says
I would sit in Meli’s garden and read Scarlet Sails.
Kristie Wilkins says
I think I’d be having sensory overload and running around trying to explore and experience everything as fast as possible for fear I’d be snatched back to Earth at any moment!
Shannon Campau says
Oh my goodness! I would visit the gardens! I imagine them as so gorgeous! I’ll stalk the dahlia growers and do my best to smuggle home some tubers. I grow dahlias (and everything else I can) and would have so much fun talking to the gardeners… I’ll make them like me and bribe, er give them a tuber from my own dahlias I have grown from seed called Busy Bee because it is covered with all sorts of lovely bees and pollinators all summer. Rubs hands together in glee…. Yes, please! 🙂
MaryRose says

Jennifer says
If I was able to visit Rada, I’d head straight to the Terraces, try to find some of the best food and sit back and people watch.
Anne says
A First Wave temple for sure. The awe-inspiring fusion of technology and nature deep within a forest of turquoise and indigo. And climate-controlled to boot. Also then I could run through a field of feather trees, call it a field, have my companion be mystified at why I’m calling a forest a field, and I would be low-key smug in the knowledge that they are actually grasses.
Sharon BronsonSheehan says
I would definitely go to the terraces! I cones for eating sound delicious! I would be very interested to see a battle, but not participate, not months, I really have the capabilities!
Robin E says
I mean, it’s simplistic to say visiting the Terraces to eat the food, but that IS what I’d do! 🤣 Any time I travel, trying the local cuisine is a must. 🤷🏼♀️
Zerene Tziortzis says
Although I don’t have any kinsman abilities living on Rada is incredible. I’m hoping to see kinsman battle but it is so rare. Being poor doesn’t give me a lot of contact with them but I work for the greatest florist in all Rada and enjoy glimpses of kinsman when they visit.

I would visit the terraces for yummy food and people watching.

The first thing I would do on Rada is follow my nose to some amazing food.

Min says
I’m here for the gardens. It’ll be like the Epcot Flower & Garden festival, only better! I’d like to find out if they smell and look as pretty in person as they do in my imagination. 🌸
Jennifer says
The Terraces for food and shopping!
Mindy says
I would HAVE to eat a passion cone!!! If while eating it with tea and that amazing terrace view a crazy attack goes down well I’d feel obligated to jump in and help protect the innocent bystanders..afterall…they interrupted my treat and that can not be tolerated! lol
Gina Milam says
Well first I’d like some kinsmen power so I can safely make my way around. I’d love to see the beautiful colors and shops and food as well. But mostly I want to see some powerful kinsmen going at it over a misunderstanding and have the ability to step in if necessary as a peacemaker or villian (depending on my ability and who’s fighting and why). I love your books and this series!
Jessie H. says
I want to try the passion cones and all the food! But I also want to see the temples and the flowers. I want to see it all!

Things that definitely would be on my to-do list include: shopping at the Old Market and sampling the foods and fruits (I love open air markets!), sampling delicious foods on the terraces while people watching and enjoying the amazing views (must try Adler family cafe), rent the oven at A Taste of Dahlia and see if Meli can teach me how to make Passion Cones and then eat said passion cones with pink wine, visit the provinces and enjoy dahlias in bloom, attend festivals like the Summer Solstice Festival on Adra, and hike the Dahlia wild to visit First Wave Temples. I do martial arts but am a lover at heart – so I would like to train in the training halls with people like Meli, Celino, Ramona and Matias, but would hopefully avoid fighting any actual battles.

I would absolutely be checking out the food scene! It’s my number one thing to do when traveling.
Michael says
While the food sounds delicious, and having some combat implants done would be cool, I think I’d like to visit, and learn more about the First Wave temples. A religion or philosophy that promotes a seamless blend of natural and man made, where its worshippers become part of nature without disrupting it, seems like something I, we, definitely need in the times we currently live in.
Joanie Holmes says
Hi !
Thank you so much for this offer. Unfortunately, I cannot read anymore except via my Kindle (ol’ lady with only 1 eye and that one is failing), so I’m not applying for this prize. Just wanted to tell you again how much I enjoy your writing.
Natalie says
Go to the market for the passion cones! I’ve wanted to try them since I read Silent Blade!
Stephenie Stevens says
The first thing I would do is check out the dahlias. I’m growing them for the first time this year and they make my heart sing. Then I would go eat in the terraces. I would definitely avoid interacting with any of the kinsmen, but I would wear shades and carry a book so I could watch them unnoticed.
Stella Bennett says
I would go to see the dahlia fields
Jennifer Carrasquel says
I would definitely visit the Terraces. I want some of that pink wine and passion cones and to see all the dahlias and shop in the old market. But seeing an old temple would be amazing too. Especially if I could get it to light up with water!

Passion cones, pink wine, and dahlias … god, I wish it was real so I could go right now.
Christina says
I would just like to say that I love all of your books, and the Kinsmen Universe in particular has the most special place in my heart! I truly adore yalls short stories.
The Kinsmen world is so utterly unique. I would love to walk the streets of Dahlia and encounter that sweet aroma that enticed Celino to enter the idyllic cafe that changed his life. Bearing pink wine, I would request to learn to bake the passion cones! Or to go into an apartment unit, find the hub unit and venture into the cyber world. Until of course, I hear the flip flop of a street vendor selling the most amazing fruit outside. Or! I love a makeover, I would visit the same Allure Salon and scandalize the people of Uley with equally bright hair. But then still approach them with kindness because I love how tight-knit their community has become since facing so much adversity together.
I imagine they have found more comfortable political relations since Claire’s marriage.
I’m admittedly not very athletic, so I don’t know that I would battle anyone (I would very much like to keep living now that I’ve made it to my dream destination, thank you!) but perhaps I’ll try my hand at touching a ene-ribbon bracelet, just in case! Then take an aero plane to visit a museum, see pictures of the Vunta and the beautiful land making up the Clusters, maybe find a wedding picture of Deidre and Lord Nagard.
Susie Churchwell says
I would visit the flowers.

I would love to visit the terrace shops and partake in the local foods!
Christian A says
I would find their best art museum, because I think the best indicator of a culture is what it considers beautiful. After that, I would try to go to some of their churches, because this would give me a sense of how they pursue their ideals. (As an author, why do you think so many authors avoid discussing religion, even though it is such a dominant force in contemporary and especially in previous civilizations? It seems like a crucial part of world-building that everyone has collectively decided to ignore)
Abby says
I would go to the Terraces for food, flowers, and people watching.
Deanna Zinn says
Eat raspberry cones, drink pink wine, and sit on the terraces and watch the people stroll by…..
Anna says

Allison Fong says

Paul says
If I were to be invited to the Home planet of the vampires, it would be because I am a champion warrior, expert in Aikido, Shotokan karate and a mix of Japanese sword techniques (Kenjutsu) and western style melee sword fighting, and quarterstaff.
Moderator R says
Hi Paul,
The giveaway question doesn’t refer to the vampire planet, I’m afraid.
Also, only one entry, please.
Rita Paolantonio says
If I were in the kinsmen universe. I would definitely want one of those passion cones! But really all the food there sounds so good! Pink wine too!
Jaylee says
I would go sight seeing, because foreign places, you know. I’d watch the people, look at their clothes and listen to them talking to try and pick up the language. It would definitely be the trip of a lifetime!
sinso rocko says
OH! oh that’s easy: we’d all log into the bionet! ohhhhhh so cool. think about it – baha char has connections to all the worlds, eh? how about going BEHIND the muckrats’ gates?
or – wait! wait! how about sliding into one of the mysterious weird silos there in kate’s forest – and she opens it and there we are: the BDH in all our shiny bionet glooooooory!
sinso rocko says
addendum – after i posted this i realized that even though the bionet works on Rada, it probably doesn’t connect properly to bahachar [even though bahachar EXISTS on the world-wide-net in ebook form, it’s probably not possible to Get There from Rada]. THUS: i would still want to log in to the Rada bionet – think about it: zipping around in a real/digital world that molds itself to our unconscious world view, being a creature wholly comfortable there, strong smart capable and so utterly amazed to explore a whole new world…
Lizzy says
I’d go for the F’s. Food and Flowers all the way!
Anthonia says

Dani says
I think I’d spend the entire first day flying around in an aerial, seeing the sights from above. Then I’d watch some tutorials and switch from auto to manual controls and really see what it could do!
Karen says
I would love to visit Rada! I’d be stearing clear of conflict, as that is my default response. But the market would beckon, so I would be eating yummy food, maybe swiping some cuttings (not sure I’m that brave, though) and wearing a camera to document the whole thing so I could relive it anytime.
Sonya Cannon says
I would love to explore the entire planet. Acres of flowers, cherry orchards, exquisite gardens, and deep forests with forgotten structures to outrageous skyscrapers, cities of terraces and the fruit seller on the corner. Spaceports! Museums! Libraries! (I seem to have a knack for randomly walking and ending up at libraries. It’s worked in four different countries so far!)
Fiona Vietje says
I would visit the flower farms in Rada, scope out the competition, gather my notes while eating a delicious pastry on the Terraces and then plan out how I can open up a flower farm of my own there!

Id spend the afternoon walking through the beautiful gardens, enjoying the dahlias. Then, visit the terrace to grab some passion cones, in hopes of luring in an assassin cutie. flowers first then I’d head to the terraces for food, drink and people watching!
Ryl says
While my stomach and I agree that trying new foods is always the first point of order in a destination vacation (pastries, of course, being the primary fetish), my favorite thing to do is to just vibe. Sit at an outdoor cafe and observe people while absorbing the atmosphere. Nothing would make me happier on Rada than to find a nice little nook at the marketplace and let the world exist around me whilst I nibbled on the choicest of noms.
Regina says
One of my favorite things to do is wander through a new town, nibbling on freshly made food, photographing the glorious garden flowers and other interesting finds, slipping into little local shops to pick up souvenirs to gift family & friends, drink in the local art scene, and buy some ‘look at me, I’m special’ statement pieces to wear at home… basically have a relaxing day to myself. Rada sounds perfect for this. As for action, intrigue, or clan warfare, nope. I’m a plump old lady now and having outlived my enemies I expect to enjoy a quiet retirement. (Just kidding, I’m just ancient… and my longevity can be attributed to having lead a queitly contented life.)
Linda says
Shopping and food…gifts for the people back home. Maybe a fling or 2 LOL

I would also visit all the plant nurseries and fabric/fiber/yarn stores to see what was offered on this exotic planet. Ohh the daaahhhhlias, must see the gorgeous dahlias. In fact I would hv to plan my trip at peak season! The terraces would be lovely to see too. Wonder what their Arts industry is like. Take in a play/musical. I’m sure there would be lots to see and do.

Eowyn says
Pink wine and passion cones for me!!
Andie Cortez says
I like to be in the know about what’s going on so I think I would totally be a part of a family. I’m super loyal too so the idea of being with other people who are similar is exciting. Plus getting to try out the revolving new tech is so cool. I’m also a total peace keeper so maybe being a liaison for the ruling families would be my niche. Powerful in my own right that people knew not to mess with me but they also just didn’t because they knew the importance of my work between the families.
Mira says
Rather than a particular place, I think I would just hunt down our dear couples and spy on them… very stealthily. From a distance. Don’t wanna be mistaken for an attacker/spy/etc.
Kimber says
If I could do anything, I would have a cool power and join the battles. In reality as a mundane devoted fan I’d visit the flowers or maybe the beach. The silver sharks sound fascinating.

The answer is always yummy food and some pink wine on the Terraces.
Heather says
In real life I’ve worked in video games… I would go to Rada and get on the bionet and figure out how to write entertainment programs for it. Trick would be to figure out how to compensate for the various “perspectives” of the users seeing the elements and obstacles of the games.

Robin says
I would stroll through the market and then pick up some passion cones to eat in a garden while admiring the dahlias.
D B says

Linda says
The Terraces of course. All that food and drink along with the ability to people watch. Yes, please.
Eric says
Visit the terrace for yummy food
Naureen says
I believe in trying all the food. I mean, that scene with the passion cones? True story, I had NO idea how to get lemon rind until I took a baking class shortly after I started the kinsmen universe books. After losing a few layers of skin on my fingers, I have a greater respect for those cones.
But yes, definitely the food. I truly believe in food introducing you to a culture. but I can’t just do the market. I’ve got to get to know the people and eat homemade food. If I don’t personally know anyone who cooks and hosts, I take a class and listen to the stories about where that dish came from. They may not be accurate but myths tell me as much about a place as an encyclopedia would. So yes if
I would go to the market and taste some stuff, but also look for ways to deepen that experience.
I wouldn’t do the flowers because chances are I would be allergic, plus I prefer activities that involve multiple senses. And involve food, of course. And while keeping up the clan issues would be entertaining, actually getting involved in battles doesn’t sound like much fun for me. I’d be the one singing why can’t we be friends until someone did us all a favor and chopped my head off.
Suzannika says
Eat all the food!!!!! Definitely visit every market possible to try all the varieties and learn new recipes.
Also, clothes shopping to the max!
Darlene Honigford says
I would enjoy the yummy food!

As a bonus, I would totally take out an order of passion cones – even if they aren’t the same as Meli’s.
Delta Goldstein says
I would definitely want to fly in a hover and get a chance to see the whole city. Just like in Silver Shark when she asks where to go for her hair and clothes to fit in, I would ask the hover to give me a tour of the best hidden gems in the city. Where to find passion cones, fresh fruit vendors, best dahlia gardens, and the best spot to watch sunset from the terraces. I’d want the full day tour.
Mary C says
I would want to work with the botanists who are creating new varieties of dahlias!! Don’t come after my babies with any weapons-grade herbicide!!
Joanne says
I’d grab some pink wine and see if I could hunt down Meli and her lemon rind passion cones! If not then at least see if I could take a look at the old province oven. Tour the place and get some pictures eating scones or something.
Pretend like I’m on a kdrama set tour. The famous passion cone banter scene selfie! Kinsmen is 100% my first love.
Joanne says
Oh! Can’t forget getting my hair fixed by Horatio and wardrobe makeover like Claire did!
D says
hmm… as boring as it sounds, keep my head down and try to stay out of the way of the kinsmen!
Donna Stock says
I would hang out for a couple days eating and relaxing, then I’d fine some but kicking action.
Rachel says
I would go see all the Dahlias in peoples gardens. I once got to go to Monet’s garden with all the flowers and it was one of my favorite places ever. The varieties of dahlias we have here are so varied and beautiful so to see gardens where everyone is trying to one up the other would make for some great displays.
Staying away from those fights!
Emmalee says
I would go to the terraces. Seeing the starflowers would be tempting, but I would love to wander the terraces.
Janie McGaugh says
I’d enjoy the gardens and check out the food.
Cecilia Rose says
I would just be an observer of all of the scenes from the book at the Terraces.
Sara says
Food is very important to me, so being able to try the food would be first on my list. And next, I think just hanging out with the people of Rada, seeing them use their abilities would be cool. But I wouldn’t hang around for the battles; that would be too stressful.
Ashley says
I would go the market, and eat all the food. And then pester someone to teach me how to cook it all. I’d love to see the dahlias, but I’m really allergic to flowers 🙁

Interacting with other worlds would be the highlight of my life. Strange flowers and vegetation would be in my little to go bag to replant in a world class garden secretly in my backyard. My daughters would look at each other behind my back and say “Did she tell you where she got these” – being old means you can just smile and pretend you didn’t hear them. Thanks for the my smile of the day!
sheila says
library then the terraces (love the pink wine)

Honor says
If I was visiting Rada I would go to eat yummy food on the terraces and then visit the flowers. If I was born on Rada I would battle with my clan 🙂
A. G. Boggs says
if I could go to visit Rada…
1) Hit the terraces. The food there is renown as the best on the planet.
2) visit the Provinces to see all the flowers. My husband will insist on this since he is a fanatical gardener.
3) Watch some of the infighting while sitting safely on a restaurant terrace ON the Terraces where I will be safely out of the danger zone.

Carrie T says
I would go to their book stores to see what everyone is reading, and find out if they are also members of thr BDH 🤩
Mary Summerday Scott says
First: get a bottle of pink wine (whatever brand I could manage on a tourist budget)
Second: Bring the bottle to the bakery that Meli borrows for baking, and beg for however many passion cones she’d consider parting with for pink wine and tales of far flung blue planets.
(that would be top of my itinerary. I would love to plan more, but I have two very young children, and must contemplate interstellar vacations another day)
Christina M. says
In Rada, I would find a way to log into the neuro-network to see how my brain translates the net’s environment into images and what type of creature I would be there. Would I be an arctic fox in fjords or a wolf in the forest or something else? Of course I would have to get out undetected so as not to be deported. Then I would get a slice of fresh bubbly pie and enjoy the gardens, as if I had been up to nothing at all.
Lisa Allen says
I would try a passion cone and some pink wine if it was offered to me (since the cones cannot be bought) but really in the Kinsman universe I would want to try a neural net. I want to know what my mental world would look like.
Jean Morgan says
Oh my! If I were in Rada I would visit the Terraces to check out the food and listen for any good gossip about the Kinsman, 🤔 maybe even get involved! This series I have enjoyed and re-read a few times.
Jalane says
Shop for a beautiful sundress and sandals. Go to the market to buy fruit and see and smell the flowers. People watch and stroll on the terraces. Have a late dinner outside and watch the sunset. Steer clear of kinsman battles…..wish I could move there!
Adelaide says
This is pretty difficult. really I’d like to see it all, but I suppose if I had to narrow it down I’d say the beautiful gardens and the view over the cliffs. Not much more peaceful and yet thrilling at the same time than that.
Tia R. says
If I were given the chance to visit Rada, I would likely find my way to an educational institution or scientific community as I would want to study the genealogy of the population. I would want to do either a study of collections of family stories & other data (think Brene Brown style research), or a comprehensive meta study utilizing the available data on the population. I’m not sure why, but this is the part of the Kinsmen world that fascinates me the most. And the fact that I could visit the Terraces to drink pink wine & eat passion cones, and admiring all the Dahlia variants, while doing said research… heaven 😊
Sheila McCormick says
flowers first, then wine and food on the Terraces!
Michaelia Austin says
Definitely the Terraces!! Window shopping, lunching, and people watching!

Stephanie Lynn says
The food and the flowers would definitely be an incredible experience. I’m a gamer, though, so I’d definitely be up for an immersive experience if I could. I’d love to see where my imagination could take me.

Megan says
If I visited Rada, I would actively get lost wandering through the streets and chatting with locals until my nose and stomach colluded to try some pastries. After I would sink into my food coma by drinking some pink wine while drawing or painting some of the flowers. And only after I have taken the time to enjoy my own company, I would look for an adventure.
Mary Kay Carnahan says
You can never go wrong with food. 😋

Then I would find the concierge to recommend the best place to explore the gardens the following day, with a picnic to break up the day.
As the afternoon broke to a close, I would ready myself to head to dinner, a favorite place recommended by one of the hotel staff.
Mary Kate Birge says
I want to taste no I want to eat at least two of those fabulous sherbet or ice cream cones she spent years learning how to make for the idiot who finally came to his senses. For true.

If I only had the opportunity to do one thing, I would browse the terraces looking for the cafe that just hits all the right flavor and ambiance buttons. Then I’d hang there for a delicious meal and a feast of people watching.
My ideal day in Rada would be to spend the morning immersed in the flowers and then retire to the terraces for a late lunch and the afore mentioned indolence. 😀
This actually brings back a wonderful memory of a fine day my wife and I had in the PNW doing a very similar thing. Perhaps not the quality of the dalhia’s of Rada or the old world flavors of the terraces, but it was a fine day indeed.

Food tour. And not just eating the food, I’d want to see how passion cones, pink wine, and other local delicacies are made. For example, why is a stone oven a key factor in perfect passion cones? I’d want to learn about it from a baker who loves talking about their craft to enhance my eventual eating experience.
MaryB says

Gardens absolutely! Just went on a family vacation and I dragged all my hapless relatives to the rose gardens. Wonder how they name their dahlias on Rada.

There are so many things I would want to do, check out the old jungle temples, visit the terraces, go out to the country and tour the amazing houses; but I think, because my favorite story is Claire’s (Silver Shark), I would want to work with refugees in Rada, help them adjust and get placed with houses.
Katie Pawlowski says
I would eat go look at the flowers. maybe try to save seeds and bring them home.
Brenda Mears says
I would look for the library and the art museum. Extra time would be spent reading a book on a terrace and people watching
Andrea says
I would certainly get some delicious food and then hopefully find maybe a festival, watch some dancing. Just enjoy the scenary.
kt says
I want to see the Dahlias
DragonLukim says
Quite simply I would visit the flowers, I love flowers.
Edie Lang says
As a gardener I would just want to wander their amazing gardens!
Pam F. says
I would try to go on a few locality tours – where the famous kinsmen live, arena tours, garden tours, property for sale etc. Definitely a bionet adventure (maybe that is how tours are done), go to water, go to jungle and go to mountains and wander and finish with a foodie tour – best of every category of Rada local cuisine.
Angelic says
Food! Flowers- but definitely no battles.
Winifred Stroup says
I would check the terraces for food and go to see the flowers
Clarissa says
Ohh getting a chance to visit one of your books! I would love the market, eat all the different food, and meet all the fascinating people. sounds so lovely!
Miranda Sutton says
See the flowers!
jonna lee says
Hire a yacht and go diving of course! I must ensure the galley has an excellent chef so I can indulge on some passion cones. As we hug the coast I might see many glimpses of land-loving flora and fauna. The day must end with some lovely pink wine and perhaps some of that quaint food that actually uses fossil fuels to cook!
Rose says
I would definitely want to see the flowers. I also want to go to the Terraces and drink some of that pink wine!
Jenette says
I would look for restaurants with seating in the gardens. That way I can enjoy good food and beautiful scenery all at the same time.

I would visit the Terraces for passion fruit scones! They sound delightful.

I adore dahlias so I’d look for a botanic garden or other public park and bring a little picnic (ideally with some passioncones!) to enjoy.
rachel says
I have always wanted to know what a passion cone tastes like. Walk the old market.
Sarah says
Ooh the Kinsmen universe is one of my favorites. Silent Blade is my favorite of all – I love the cooking Meli does. I would visit the Terraces of course, but I would rent a little house with a garden full of Dahlias in Old Town and visit my good friend Meli, the chef, whom I’ve finally convinced to teach me her secret recipe for making passion cones.
Lisa M says
I’d definitely go to the market. Delicious food and interesting people to watch!
Amy Delaney says
Definitely visiting the terraces for food, then I’d do a bit of tourist shopping.
Melissa R says
Visit all the repositories of knowledge! Libraries, academies, museums, etc., with quick moments to appreciate the amazing food and markets on my hurried scurrying between said repositories.
Wenona carman says
I have not read this series yet but I love the Inkeeper Chronicles and The Kate Daniel’s series. I would love to loose myself in another world that Ilona has created.
Lottie says
I would definitely go to see the dahlias, of course! i indeed reading the descriptions of the competitions between neighbors. honestly remind me of the competitions between the flower society members here in my town.
Mary says
I would wander around, enjoy the sites and food and flowers (and beautiful kinsmen, from afar, a safe safe distance away). Oh, and buy some beautiful Rada clothes and get my hair done. That’d be fun.
Mary says
Oof, I missed the US only fine print (dangit). Guess I will be daydreaming about owning a paper copy of Kinsmen in addition to visiting Rada, heh.
Jillian says
Definitely grab a passion cone, check out the flowers, and find a spot to people watch. It’s one of my favorite things to do when traveling somewhere new – find an outdoor cafe and soak in the world passing by.
Karen P says
I am easy and a glutton, I would get my 1st meal at the terraces, go look at flower and then back to the terrace for more food and tea, repeat until deported for over use of planetary resources.☺️
Beth says
I would ask someone to let me try an ene- ribbon. If you had skill with one of these, you’d never have to wrestle with a brush-hog again. Whip, whip … the path is clear! Over grown hedges? A thing of the past after two passes! What a time saver and likely lots of fun too.
Sandy says
Backyard to the cottage with the chef. Learning to bake lemon zestiness, pick pink wine, garden Dalia’s,and meditate like a master with a whip…get it cooking/fighting. 😉
Leigh-Ayn says
The yummy food!!! I am a lover not a fighter… lover of food that is!
Lizzi says
I would grab a bottle of chilled pink wine and watch the storms on the coast.
Kaitlin says
I would make a day (or week… or year…) of it and visit the gardens, find a cafe in the Terraces for lunch, then go find a library or bookshop, (food break!), and later the market.

Eric says
I would eat at the market and visit the all the locations with dahlias.
Lora says
I’ll hit up all the tourist spots. Then slowly assimilate myself as best as I can and lurk around to hopefully get peeks at the kinsmen family, and if I get lucky, first row seats to some live battle.
Kathleen Richardson says
I would definitely visit gardens, especially those with the amazing dahlias. Surely so civilized a place would have restaurants in or adjacent to public gardens, at least, even if we couldn’t tour the private gardens, and two interests could be satisfied at the same time. (The Kinsmen books don’t say anything — as far as I recall — about physical libraries open to the public, which would be obvious places for librarians to visit.)
Jennifer says
If you would consider my entry, I would happily pay the shipping!! Fated Blades is one of my all time favourites of your stories, in fact it makes my top 10 “go to” books in between new reads. 🙂
If it was possible I would love to have been able to meet Matias and Ramona and people watch from her family’s secret room, or check out the tunnel in the pool.
Jessie J says
I would absolutely visit the food carts and try as many different tasty treats as I could
Rob Muszalski says
I would visit the terraces for the yummy food
Samantha says
Walking the markets, sampling all of the food, buying flowers for myself just because I can.
Lauren Taylor says
If given the chance to travel (interstellar) my first stop would definitely be for the food <3 but under the radar would be my preference, as a visitor I'd rather observe than pot stir
Verslint says
aww, good luck to the US members of the horde!
Marla says
Definitely go for the food! Browse the market stalls, taste passion cones… and work up an appetite by wandering through the gardens and gaping at the amazing architecture.
TJ says
If I were visiting Rada, I’d visit the Terraces and just take the vibes in, maybe get a bouquet of dahlias.
Star says
I’d go to the market and try all the exotic fruit. It would be interesting to watch a battle from a safe distance.
Kaila says
I’d spend the ENTIRE trip just trying every single dish possible. ALL the meats, all the desserts. I’d go to the market in old town and ask for 1 of every fruit and vegetable. Maybe also get an awesome flow-y dress.
JH says
All the food!! Twice!!! I would take a bazillion pictures of every random flower I saw. I’d like to visit festivals and temples and look at art. All the typical tourist stuff
Nina A says
I’d go to see the gardens. I live in a hot state with not many opportunities to see non-cactus gardens that aren’t giant wastes of water, so walking around in and sitting to read a book in that atmosphere sounds like heaven.
Sarah says
Probably enjoy the local food and people watch. I’m boring lol
Paula says
Passion Cones at the Terraces! I swear I could smell them baking when I read Silent Blade.
Olivia C. says
So exciting! I would 100% eat the food. When I visit a place, I love to see sights and learn about history, but I am never happier than when I am at a random street stall eating a local food.
Becky T says
Library for a book then a drink while I read and people watch! The dream.
Cindy says
I would like to find a diplomatic banquet, avoid the sushi and hope to find a Reigh Lord that would kneel just once.
Melissa B says
If I could visit Rada I would let my nose lead me to all the delightful smells of the food and the flowers. Hoping that it would ultimately lead me to Meli’s kitchen. The thought of being able to watch her cook and smell the yummy food is divine to me. I love the sense of smell and the authors describe Rada as a vibrant sensory planet so it would be amazing for sure.
Lynn says
I would visit the dahlia fields. I love my garden.
Dawn says
So much yummy food to taste. I need to spend a day checking out the food and wine
Amylee Caffee says
I would definitely go to the Terraces for yummy food, love trying out new, delicious foods.
Joscelyne says
Oh definitely visit the terraces and try yummy food. Passion cones and pink wine and people watching. Also try and sneak a peak at any passing kinsmen, like celebrity spotting. If there was time then a visit to the dahlia gardens.
Lex Keating says
The Kinsmen universe always makes me hungry for sunshine. Give me a sun-warmed rock, a massive bottle of passion-lemon-infused water, and something fresh to listen to. Breeze in the fields, dance in the square, the hum of the market, just let me soak in the intensity.
Rebecca says
There must be some amazing places to party and have fun?
I wouldn’t mind going dancing, maybe on a vast terrace, under an alien sky, with some sexy people… I bet there would be a light show of some sort, and maybe floating go-go dancers, and crazy drinks (maybe drugs).
But then a duel between hot-headed kinsmen would break out! It would be scary but also thrilling!
After the excitement, I would go with my new friends to eat something savory and delicious from a street vendor, and then, knowing me, pass out in a pile of cushions at someone’s house in the hills, the smell of night-blooming flowers from the garden coming in with the cool breeze though the open terrace doors…
Also knowing me, I would probably not do this, but just find a nice spot to sit and read lol.
Nancy Zimbalist says
So fun.
I would investigate every back ally, looking for second hand, interplanetary bookstores, small shops, and hidden gems of cafes.
I’d look for a nursery to pick up a beautiful flower or two, provided it was sterile and wouldn’t take over my planet.
And, lastly, I’d watch how Rada’s sky changes from dawn to sunset.
Anika says
I would get an aerial and fly over the terraces. I wonder if they have open topped aerials so you could feel the sun and smell the flowers 🙂
Christina Hopkins says
I’m sad to say I never read these but I’d love the chance. Others want to visit the gardens and that sounds lovely. Good luck to everyone!
Patti (@thelovejunkee) says
I would want to try the food, and go to the markets!
Andra says
I would ask Meli to teach me how to make passion cones.
Angelina Schwarz says
I would be insanely pleased to have this. As far as my visit to Rada, I’d need more than a day. Personally, I could spend three days alone on the food. I’d like to hang out on the bronze terrace and eat passion cones. I’d also really enjoy a guided tour of the Davenport’s research lab. I want to see all the new tech!
Laura says
I am torn between the food and the gardens, although I would also have to find a local yarn shop!
Daniel says
Definitely the Terraces for yummy food! That’s a big aspect of my travel adventures.

First, I would go to the gardens… walk neighborhoods and look at people’s yards… then, I would hit the Market, and buy things that made me feel like all of the gardens made me feel. Finally, with my creative well overflowing with colors and inspiration, I would find the foods, a cone, and all of the yummies!
Miriam says
The Terraces for yummy, gorgeous, food AND view the gorgeous flowers. Maybe the yummy, gorgeous, food first, in case.
My mouth is watering, and I’ve even jumped to thoughts of Oreo. Sigh.
Miriam says
Did I mention that our internet connection has been temporarily out for…too long? Due to squirrels, and very poor customer service. I nearly missed this fun. It was a relief to check comment dates to be sure this Friday is the cutoff. Rushed trips to the library doesn’t cut it!
Happy and safe holiday weekend!
Monica says
I would visit the market and sample all the foods. Meet people and drink pink wine.
Sam says
I would try the passion cones. they sound so delicious. also, I would want to visit the beach over summer. it sounds wonderful- like all summer trips as a child. 😅

Pam says
I would love to visit Rada. While I would be intrigued to see kinsmen battling their issues out, I would also be nervous as I have not been enhanced by combat implants. And since I don’t want to stand out as a tourist, I would wear an outfit with bright, vibrant colors. I would start in the Old Town of New Delphi. If the Rynok Market opened early in the day, that would be my first stop. After merrily haggling with the local vendors, for perhaps a Dahlia peach, I would then wander into the residential area seeking a house reminiscent of Meli’s prior home. Visiting the Botanical Gardens would be the next priority, especially if I could spot an indigo or purple dahlia. Maybe I could walk by the bud shaped tower that is headquarters for Guardian Inc. In the afternoon, I would go to the Terraces, in search of provincial flavors from an eatery like A Taste of Dahlia or a meal of skewered meats that had been cooked over an open brazier. My meal would not be complete without passion cones (with lemon rinds as the secret ingredient) and a bottle of Dahlian Pink. I would hope to spot the apartment building Claire lived in when she first immigrated to New Delphi. And I would linger in the Red Terrace to catch the sun setting behind the distant mountains. If I had more time, I would make a day trip to the provinces in hopes of finding dahlia-studded gardens and even a trip to the coast so that I could see the blue of their ocean. In the end, I would hope to feel the Radans’ passion for life.
Eve says
If I visited Rada, I would ask to apprentice to Meli so that I can train with one of the best assassins around!

Food, always. That’s what I do when visiting anywhere, plan around the food.
Pam says

Traci says
If I could visit Rada, I would slip into the first kinsman weapons locker/training facility I could find and pick up an ene-ribbon bracelet and see if I could be a melder. I made it to Rada after all. If I can operate the ene-ribbon, I am going to the Terraces to eat passion cones and get the scoop on the families. There has to be one that is weak and ripe for the taking. It is time to begin a new world order.
Connie says
Mmmmm Everything!
Lisa Salim says
I’d check out the Terraces!
NicoleAllee says
Plant Dahlias, bake, support the head of my Clan until it becomes necessary to support a new head. Pet my cats.
Kimbo says
If I were to visit Rada, it would be a trip for the senses. I would learn how to bake passion cones. I would go to a wine tasting for the pink wines. (Dahlian would of course be the best!) I would visit some of the local gardens to admire the namesake Dahlias. And lastly, I would get a lesson in piloting an aerial vehicle…because what is life without a little bit of excitement!!

You can ship it to my USA based relatives if I win.

I’d want to eat everything. New food on an alien planet? Yes please.
Nicholas says
Enjoy the gardens would be top of the list for me.
Kathryn says
On Rada, I would definitely go shopping for the perfect potted dahlia in a pot made by a local artisan. I envision a shockingly violet flower in a blue clay pot the color of old terrace roof tiles.
Just reread Fated Blades. Gearing up for Silver Shark. I had a chance to get one of these books before, but a family thing distracted me and now, alas, the time has passed. Hopefully this comment will be my second chance.
Terry says

I would go bask in the flowers! Dahlias are my favorite, and there are so many varieties to enjoy. I grew up with a lovely yellow dahlia bush that threatened to take over the front porch, it got so big. Flowers as big as your fist, pops of sunshine…
