Happy New Year, Horde! May we devour the bestest books in peace and happiness!

We started the year in style, with an outpouring of love for our favourite stories in thousands upon thousands of comments from all over the world.

It falls on me to announce the luckiest amongst us: the winner of the ARC list spot for all Ilona Andrews fiction for the year 2025, who is going to get an early manuscript of Maggie and whatever else will be written by House Andrews this year.

I love most of the books and series but the book I listen to on repeat and that gets me giddy is Magic Rises. I love the mystery of Curran’s behavior, Kate’s reactions and interactions with Hugh, and the emotional roller coaster of resolution and loss I experience.

I will contact Sher privately with details and arrangements about their prize, from the modr@ilona-andrews.com address on the email they provided with their comment. If we do not hear back from you by Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 12:00 pm Central, we will chose a different winner in your place, so please keep an eye on the blog and your inbox.

For the rest of us, the w*it will be hard and our p*tience tried, but maybe…not as tried as we might think.

I know Ilona and Gordon have surprises and even more giveaways in store and they have no intention to stop feeding the beloved Horde with more amazing stories and characters this year.

    • Ditto then it turns out I won $100 gift card for my knitted stocking at church house yarn and tea and now I’m going to be bursting with weepaca yarn for a blanket I’m so happy can’t wait to listen to new stories while knitting it will be an awesome 2025!!     I finished a 5k Resolution Run on New Year’s Day with a time that was slightly faster than a 5k I did in November (first one in 10 years!) I was still exceedingly slow (I swear I saw snails crawling past me along the way!) 😂 and it was unbelievably windy in NJ on New Year’s Day, but I had a blast, felt awesome afterwards, and felt like this really set the pace for 2025!

    My goal is to keep getting healthier and healthier. Every little bit counts. I want to be around for a long, long time for many reasons, including reading more HA stories! 😁

    Love your song ModR! I have my chalant sticker on the back of my phone! I did try to describe the horde and chalant to a friend once, they looked at me and said, uh huh. I don’t think they got it!

    Just wanted to comment that the illustration of the Koo, above, (Scholar Thek?) is brilliant. We’re so lucky to have such talented illustrators working on these books.

  59. Glad you had peaceful holidays. I missed the last week’s giveaway – sort of a crazy week. Too late to enter, but my absolute favorite all time is hard to pick. I love the Hidden Legacy books (not like I don’t love all the others), but Sweep of the Blade may be the absolute favorite. I look forward to the next segment of Maud’s story.

  63. When did Rogan goto college? The book said than he went into the military at age 19 and he had been out for four years in burn for me. Did I interpret this wrong and he went to college before enlisting?

    (I hope you realize we’re all living vicariously through you, so coming back here to gush at us about the story (without spoilers) would be much appreciated. 😉

    I am trying my best to be chalant, but it’s a Monday, it’s the beginning of a month, and it’s the end of a year…so lots of stuff needs to be itemized and recorded, and other stuff needs to be organized and started.
    Plus the weekly grocery order needs to be submitted so we can pick it up…that might be the MOST pressing to-do.
    Darn all that “eating every day” thing…SO annoying… 🙂
