So pretty…
A few lines from work in progress:
The glittering universe engulfed them. The ship tore through it and emerged into the normal space. A beautiful planet hung in the space in front of them, a green and blue jewel, the turquoise veil of atmosphere glowing gently. It wasn’t Earth, but it could’ve been her prettier sister. Two moons orbited the planet, one large and purple, closer to the surface, the other, tinted with orange, smaller and distant. The sunsets must be spectacular.
Sounds beautiful…
Seattle is very grey and wet right now, so it’s nice to see something blooming. It gives me hope that spring will eventually arrive here too.
Thank you for sharing your wip snippet, I can’t wait to see what the story becomes.
First day of spring is Monday, the 20th. Of course, the Puget sound area has had snow falling on the first day of spring in the past.
Such a prettier image than the one I’m currently looking at- remnants of Winter Storm Stella.
These make the winter “showers” all worthwhile
Soooooo tantalizingly good! New work? Inn Keeper?
Also spring flowers are great! Eastern Washington state is also gray and wet, which is not how we should be this time of year.
Thank you!
Hah, my first thought was Inn Keeper as well. But it could be a new Kinsman book or something else totally different and new.
Virginia Beach missed Stella but it has been 30s and windy. I actually wore a jacket the last couple days. It was warmer in January but I’m not complaining – still no snow and ice, I’m loving it!
Made homemade broccoli cheese soup tonight, yum.
Any hints on the new work?
ooohhhh!
Sean and Dina’s honeymoon?
Arland and Maude’s vacation destination?
Lark’s retreat?
Sigh. One can only hope.
Or possibly a Kinsman story. They were planning to write a new one.
You sir/madam, have made my day.
I love the Kinsman series and didn’t know the planned on restarting it!
Neither did I, I love them as well. I just reread Silver Shark a couple of days ago.
**all of Ilona Andrews fans heads go ‘SPLODEY as they press their noses to the blog, and try to pre-order an unnamed WIP**
I’m having the devil of a time just waiting until MAY. Holy jeez, we need time travel. 😉
Go splodey. That needs to be a bumper sticker.
Definitely
‘splodey mess all over my laptop . . . but I enjoyed it & look forward to more!
LOL, and I really mean it. The mental image you painted is divine.
“splodey” yep. I like that one.
That is my brain doing taxes right now.
‘SPLODEY vs. ‘splodey. guess it depends on the situation intensity level. Good one Ms Toni!
SPLODEY horde needs feeding. Moar
?
‘SPLODEY – I LIKE it! 🙂
Ha-ha! Yes, this is me… 🙂
Lovely. Thanks for sharing!!!
You keep hooking us with smaller and smaller snippets. We love reading your WIP tidbits.
Beautiful pictures and an enticing snippet. Thank you.
Ahh thank you dear Authorlords. Positively itching for May.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful flowers and the WIP. Can’t wait till May.
?
What gorgeous flowers and thanks for the snippet
Beautiful ..
It reminds me a little of Auul, I have a memory of blue green on the planet too and two moons, one larger and one smaller, more distant.
Pretty flowers and tasty snippet: thank you for the good morning!
Woo sci-fi!!!! Does happy dance.
Pls. say it’s part of Inn keeper #4!!
Thanks for the snippet!
Purity flowers! Ours were beautiful until the weather switched from 85day/60 nights to 50/25 this week. Then I kept scrolling and …what? What? What? I knew you were working on something since I stalk, I mean read, your blog, gut WOW! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
The flowers are a promise of Spring to come and the WIP tidbit is amazing!!!
The trees have leaves on them in Fort Worth. Everything is turning green. Dogwood is also blooming…..ugh! My eyes itch when purple dogwood blooms.
Thanks for the flower pictures. 🙂
I love Fort Worth. I am keeping an eye out for a promotion opportunity there in the future.
Thank you, the flowers are lovely, and the snippet intriguing. I’m really hoping we get Innkeeper#4 VERY SOON. I’m REALLY MISSING my “Friday Fix”! (BTW: It’s still cold and rainy here in Portland I hope it’s not like this in June when you come, it’s always a possibility). LOL ? ? ?
What lovely pictures, thank you for sharing them. Thank you for the snippet it seemed to go well with the pictures.
And we got 8 inches of snow….. huge sigh! Love the photos and the snippet will have us speculating for ages – many thanks!
Ah pretty pictures – one day they will arrive in NYC too. So jealous. Thank you for the snippet – I can picture it in my mind and I want to go there now 🙂
Lovely!
I do not remember Earth being mentioned in the Kinsmen. The Innkeeper’s Earth is recognized. Maybe this snippet is a beginning for a new series. It wouldn’t surprise me if a joint honeymoon is in the future for our two couples from the Innkeeper.
Thanks for the pics! Nice contrast to the snow and wind currently outside the window, *sigh*.
Glad you got to see the flowers. Didn’t recognize all of them, but the tiny lavendar henbit has been a favorite since I was tiny, picking them for my mother.
!!! ::jumping up and down:: !!!
Thank you!
Please be innkeeper, please ????
I need to hear about Maude and Arland… who knows how those two are doing.
And Sophie and George… and the whole team.
Señor, escucha mis plegarias. ?
As much as I enjoy the Innkeepers series, I’m hoping for a new Kinsmen. Aren’t we readers such a pain!! Thank you for the lovely snippet from whichever story you are working on!
Love the pictures and the snippet. Hope you took them as you were leisurely meandering on the trail as part of your relaxing “mini” hiatus. ? Can’t call it a respite because the WIP snippet disproves that. ?
No, this was on our 4 mile work out walk. 🙂
Dare we hope for a new Innkeeper? No matter which book-universe this snippet is from, we’re excited to join you in the journey!
Thanks for sharing the beauty of your 4 mile walk and this secret new place.
Loved the snipit and the flowers. The weather in the Twin Cities is still very erratic but this weekend we are supposed to get in the fifties. The flowers I look forward to in the spring are pansies.
Origin Planet for Sebastian North???
Origin planet for Sebastian North?
Cool, didn’t think of that. Me likes. ?
flowers and snippits: a promise of things to come.
I LOVE texas indian paintbrush. I keep trying to get it to grow in Chicago, but so far, nope. (it’s the carpet of red flowers along texas highways, along with the blue of texas blue bells.)
Pretty fowers
Nice snippet
When can we expect Rogan’s 2nd POV? D.D.D please?
Space opera? oooooo… please tell me it’s space opera!
“The sunsets must be spectacular” – It’s beautiful.
