      • I fourth Sara’s comments and best wishes for the IA ‘ writing team ( and family) to have a happy, healthy and very prosperous year. As for we faithful book devouring horde, we can rejoice that at last 2017 is here and the release of White Hot and Wildfire are that much closer. Plus, if we are very fortunate, we can anticipate a fourth Innkeeper adventure with all our favourite Gertrude Hunt residents and visitors, hopefully culminating in finding the rest of the DeMille family.

        • Fifthing the well wishes, but am selfishly hoping the rest of the Demille family won’t be found for a few more books, so there can be yet more Innkeeper adventures. 😛

          • I will second this fifthing. Here’s looking forward with cautious hope since 2016 was personally a very difficult year. Thank you to the Authorlords and the devouring horde for always making it more bearable. Happy New Year.

  11. Happy New Year! I put on a pot of black-eyed peas, going to make cornbread and greens. Donuts for breakfast, eating all the lucky new year’s foods I can think of!

    • Happy New Year! We’ve got our black-eyed peas going, too. Probably going to make Hoppin’ John with them. Collard greens from the garden that I froze this summer are thawing on the counter. We’ve been adding a generous amount of tomatoes to the collard greens braise, and it is wonderful.

  36. I concur, Happy New Year! So far so good. I had great tips at work this weekend, found a sub driver for Tuesday, and finally remembered to mail granddaughter’s birthday card today. I am enjoying my paperwhite, slippery little thing, and I have purchased too many books the last couple days so all is good in my world so far. Time to pack up the few Christmas items I dug out and get geared back up for normal life again. Wishing everyone good health, great friends, only good news throughout the year, and more books by all our favorite authors!

I’ve been procrastinating on starting the innkeeper series because I didn’t want to get hooked on yet another series…New Year’s Eve rolls around and I pick them up, and Amazon recommend a book by another author Ella Summers called Vampires Kiss and it’s sequel Witches’ Cauldron, I grabbed those too. Yesterday I had read all five and the sample for Undying King by Grace Draven that was in the back off One Fell Sweep, grabbed that one too. So for New Year’s I’ve read 6 books in two days, and I want more. Sadly, I must now make real life happen.
