::looks over the flood of messages of “what happened?”, “who dared?”, and “can we beat them up?” , and “did something bad happen to the family?”
Nothing big happened.
If something happened, most of the people reading the blog would not see it, because Mod R would yank it from the comment list. However, the volume of the comments was significant and some of the readers did cross a few lines last week which prompted more work than usual.
We are all stressed out. The pandemic keeps dragging on, tempers are short, and some of us are a little rusty when it comes to the social interaction. If you wouldn’t say something while sitting in that person’s living room facing them, it’s probably a good idea not to say it in the comments. It generates more work for us and keeps people from participating in discussion, and discussions on the blog can be very fun.
Because of the sheer volume of work the blog required in the last few weeks, we needed a break. Mod R has been working for months without a long holiday, and we’re trying to finish Ruby Fever. We have some admin stuff to take care of this week as well, so we will be busy.
So everything is okay. Thank you for being worried. We will be back next week.

Actually I prefer for the authors to write their books then chase fans across social media. I love your books and that is why I go to your web page. To find out when the next book is.
Please write your fantastic books and let the rest go.
And there is no tone, sarcasm or nastiness meant only pure hopefullness that you both continue writing.
