The dramatized adaptation of White Hot, the second novel in the Hidden Legacy series, will be released September 12 by Graphic Audio.

As usual, the Records Keeper has snuck us a few tasty exclusive samples ahead of time. Hasn’t he, Michael?
Leon-narration sweeps the BDH nation!
A mysterious stranger approaches Nevada at the ball:
And that’s all.
No other sample.
Just these two.
What’s that? There’s a particular scene in White Hot that’s, oh, I don’t know, universally beloved? A certain fan-favorite moment that BDH listeners have been not-so-p*tiently w*iting for in full cast, sound-effected glory? Well goodness, that’s brand new information to me. Couldn’t possibly imagine what you mean…
Ok, ok, I can’t keep up the act hehe.
FERRET and I cannot emphasise this enough HEEEEIST:
You get a ferret, you get a ferret, we all get a Chinese ferret-badger!
Megan and her team (plus beasties) will be adapting all seven books in the Hidden Legacy series: Nevada’s trilogy, the Diamond Fire transition novella, and Catalina’s trilogy. They will also include the bonus unpublished Arabella POV blog exclusives: A Misunderstanding and The Cool Aunt. Some of these releases will overlap with Nora’s adaptations of Wilmington Years and Blood Heir, coming in the first half of next year from Graphic Audio.
A quick reminder: Graphic Audio adaptations aren’t commissioned by authors. GA are an independent company who decide which books they’d like to adapt and approach authors for the rights to those works. House Andrews are more than happy to grant the rights, provide insight on canon, pronunciation guides, and makes sure fan-favorite scenes are spotlighted, but all creative, casting and business decisions belong to GA.
Also important: these adaptations will never replace the unabridged, traditional narrator audiobooks released through the publishers or self-published by the authors themselves. Think of them as cousins. One version is your cozy audiobook companion, the other is a full-cast, music-and-sound-effect cinematic experience. GA’s tagline is “A movie in your mind!” and most of us will agree they deliver.
I have covered in more detail how to purchase on the GA app in this post, which you can also supplement with the Graphic Audio Help FAQ on their website. The books should be available for your libraries, as well as major retailers like Audible, Hoopla and Chirp.
Happy listening and may your ferrets be ever stealthy!
First?
Certified 🙂
Omg, what a cute kitty!
FERREETTTT HEEIIISTT!! Loved the samples thank you!
How delightful! I have some trips coming up, graphic audio is great for long drives.
Omg, this is the BEST!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
😀 😀 😀
Thank you! That was an awesome start to the long weekend!
Oh, I love this so much!! Ferrets forever!
Leon reminded me of the stoner kid in the movie Dogma (I think he’s the Jay in the Jay and Silent Bob movies, too).
The actor sounded like he had a lot of fun. I bet he’s hoping Leon gets his own series, too. 😛
This should be great. Just finished reading Magic Claims. Enjoyable. Quick question: Why doesn’t Kate have a daughter? Should be interesting.
She does 🙂
Oh I did enjoy the ferrets! Thanks! And I may have to get the one with the Arabella shorts, that would be cool to listen to.
I can’t stop smiling listening to the heist! Thank you!
Loved the samples and thanks for touching on future GA projects. Iron Covenant I is noticeably absent. Someday? And if Kate has a daughter, then Wilmington 3 release is tentatively, secretly, slated for…end of 2025? Too much to hope for?
Usually only read instead of comment, but these excerpts made my day, when everything else was dreary and rainy. Thanks!
Oh. My. Gosh! All three GA’s samples are hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely need to pre-order this.
Long live ferrets and their animal mages!
I just checked my GA account. I already pre-ordered White Hot. Sheesh. I’m very definitely part of the BDH. 😀
oh my! currently relistening to HL and have already got Burn for me. can’t wait for the rest. I love all versions of Kate Daniels and am looking forward to having (eventually) both versions of all the IA series 🥰😘
😍😍😍😍😍😍 yay!!!!! so excited! tyvm
YESSSS. I was hoping this was part 2 of the Hidden Legacy news! I love having the short wait before it drops too, now I only have to wait 2 weeks!
Must wait.
Can not wait.
Must wait.
Woo hoo!
Someone check on Steve and make sure he doesn’t get any ideas. Can he handle the Graphic Audio ferret heist?
He might feint or decide he needs to go with the ferrets.
Yay ferret heist!! But not the voices I hear when I read. I like “my” Cornelius better. Rogan and Augustine are good, though. 📚
I just listened to GA’s Burn for Me, and was hoping White Hot was available!
Happiness!
I love Leon! 😍
Love these snippets! Ferret heist!! ♡♡♡
Delighted and can’t wait for the new GA edition. Yay!
Really impressed with what Graphic Audio has been doing with our beloved House Andrews stories.
this is my absolute favourite series of yours, thank you for writing such amazing books. i also adore graphic audio so much that my library includes all the fourth wing and now all the mercy thompson series – and love devon monks series too….oh i could go on and on but the most listened to are the inkeeper – on repeat all the time and i still shudder grin and groan afresh each listen
I love traditional unabridged audiobooks and I thought I hated GA audiobooks. Turns out I only hate them when they are the ONLY version of audiobook available.
I think traditional audiobooks are very much like reading the book— nothing could ever be as good and nothing could ever replace that, BUT I really love enjoying my favorite stories in a new way with the GA “movie in your mind” version, too.
I happily own both versions of House Andrews stories and I still do traditional rereads with regular audiobooks at least once a year, but now I can have a little side journey with the GA books, too.
+1
So happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Already preordered
Yay!!!! FERRET HEIST!!! 😆 Already preodered months ago and chalantly waiting. Thank you for the preview. 💕
Wilmington Years!!!!
Leon narration has me rolling on the floor. It is amazing and SOOOO perfect!
You know I’m not into audio books unless I’m on a long drive. Leon’s part may have changed my mind. Very laugh out loud funny. Reading it was great. This was great too!
