Tickets are free and will be available through TicketLeap soon, according to the Barnes & Noble event page, which also mentions that a purchase of ‘Dominion’ on-site on the event day is required to gain access to the signing line. Contact details for any other questions relating to the event and the venue are also included.
Jean Kwok is the New York Times bestselling author of Girl in Translation and Searching for Sylvie Lee. Long-time blog readers may also remember her touching contribution to Ilona’s The Moment Everything Changed series, where author friends shared the moment they first felt like “real” writers.
DOMINION marks Jean’s debut in the romantasy genre:

A woman with no past. A warrior with no future. Their love could save the world—or burn it down.
In a world divided into four rival Dominions, power is everything—and Rubi Morningtail has almost none. Three years after the Annihilation destroyed her homeland and shattered her memories, she lives as an Azure refugee in the Dominion of the Silver Tyger, scraping by as a ribbon dancer and hiding her little bit of singing magic. When she wounds a massive battle tyger on her doorstep, she draws the notice of Blake Axefire— supreme metal mage, leader of the royal tyger warriors, and the last man an Azure should trust. His sentence? Cast her into the Bonding, a brutal trial where tygers choose their riders and slaughter the rest. Surviving is unthinkable.
But survive she does. Now she’s stuck on Blake’s elite team racing to reseal the Anchors to the demon realm. With rebels striking, demons rising, and the Dominions at each other’s throats, Rubi must unlock the truth of her magic and her past…while resisting her dangerous attraction to the ruthless warrior who could be her redemption—or her ruin.
I hope everyone has a great time and comes back with anecdotes!
Columbus Book Festival – Ohio, July 11-12
Speaking of great times in July:
A friendly reminder for the Columbus Book Festival in Ohio, which is also free to attend and will give you more opportunities to meet, support, gush and get things signed by House Andrews.
More details of the festival and events Ilona and Gordon will be participating in are in this post.
If you are close enough to attend either weekend, please go forth and represent the Horde!

First?! 😍
Monday First certification: acquired! 😀
YAY!!!!!! thank you!!! my first First!! *happy dances!* 🥳🥳🥳😊
Sounds great BTW, hope everyone who can go has an amazing time! 📖😊
Hoping to make it to Columbus, my old stomping ground. For the Horde! Woohoo!
Oooooooo. That looks cool.
Is there any chance that the much anticipated special US edition of TKWNKM will be available to buy at the Columbus Book Fair? I’ve been debating timing my traveling to Ohio to see Ilona and Gordon… and oh yeah, my daughter and son in law, too!
I still am not officially allowed to say anything about it.
However, I am fairly certain that it will only sold through the respective speciality book box/special edition publisher’s website. Not at events or book and mortar stores.
Sounds like a very interesting book! Will have to take a look. Won’t make it, but hope everyone has a blast
preordered! It looks so good!
I have not been stored wrong on any books that house andrews have linked. (I’m looking at you Stormweaver series!)
Have fun at all the events! Represent us well! 😁
This book sounds like This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me and another series I’m waiting on for the second book.
Columbus is on my calendar. My husband has been warned!
Looking forward to Columbus and the author events! Hoping some fellow horde members will be there. 🙂
This look so interesting!
The cover is stunning, too!
Will Ilona and Gordon be signing also or just speaking? I would love to get my copy of TKWNKM signed.
Good morning!
I do know, that you are really busy, but do you per chance plan to visit Europe? So that we might have a chance to meet you in person even though we do not live in the US?
Book preordered, thanks for the reminder. Have fun everyone.
I love the support House Andrews is providing other authors (and vice versa likely)! It makes me smile when the world is nice and as it should be 😆
I now live in the hot land of Toledo (moved her from Nome, AK) and it sounds like the one good thing about my move is the potential to meet my favorite authors ever!
Came here to say the same thing re: Ilona and Gordon’s continued support of other authors. It is one of those kind and gracious things to do to make the world a better place.
Sending peace, health and safety to all!
