Today we bring you a cute in-progress trailer for the Innkeeper game. If you missed these news, we are developing it in house, so this is not quite solo developer, but dual developer project. It will take a while for it to reach playable stage. We estimate about 2 years.
To be honest, several people asked if there was any progress, so I bugged Kid 2 until she sent me this, so this is not high def, etc. She literally texted it to me so I would leave her alone. Here is direct link for those of you reading it through email.
Meanwhile, our app is getting close to release and we need beta testers. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find bugs.
If you are feeling up to it, comment below. Requirements: must have an iPhone and must download TestFlight. We will pick a few people at random form the comments.

The beta testers are being recruited for the new Ilona Andrews app, NOT for the Innkeeper game.
The app is a separate project designed as another way to enjoy and keep up with House Andrews content, including blog posts, book and series information, reading-progress tracking, quizzes, quotes of the day, and other fun extras. I think of it as an expansion to the Horde playground, hehe.
The Innkeeper game is still in development. There is no game beta test being recruited for at this time. No platform has been announced for the game, and it is not the project that is only available to Apple users.

Coding for Android is different and more involved, I believe House Andrews want to assess interest and activity first 🙂 – so not for a while.
I totally understand! My workplace develops an app for both iOS and Android and it’s a challenge to get the app to match formatting and work properly in both operating systems.

Suggestions: Steam page so that you can get beta testers later(and for wishlisting), look into a discord server and game events(shows, expos, etc) where you can put in a trailer to pull in people to start creating hype.

(I have no gaming skills, to go along with no ability to “drive and phone” at the same time. It probably has to do with eye/hand co-ordination, in my case complicated by severe myopia as a child, and my only physical fitness accomplishments in h.s. were synchronized swimming and archery.)

We are a shockingly expert group, Holly. It seems many of the books the Book Devouring Horde gobbles down — other then the House Andrews œuvre and other authors of interest (of which there are a number of long lists tucked in various hidden corners around the blog — we must read *something* in between House Andrews releases!) — are high level subject matter texts, as far as I can tell. I learn something new with almost every discussion here. 🙂

does that mean your game won’t work on Android phones? if so you should get paid by Apple for pissing off your Android readers/followers.

Perhaps a book covering the wedding of Maud and Arland? Another about the wedding of Dina and Sean? Helen needs a younger sibling and some cousins. We also need to find the missing parents who we now know are still alive. A lovely reunion would be wonderful. Please?

Part of my day job as a thought partner and mentor/coach to the IT org at a leading AAU University, is to comment on everything (process, communications, slide decks, meetings…); I always use an “eye of beholder approach” in ensuring value and “speed to value” (Copyright). Have iPhone and have used TestFlight before.

OK. Just a question or two…
1.) Is the Ilona Andrews App going to scale up to iPad? … Apple iPhones are great, but I’m gettin’ older… need bigger platforms!
Also, I am able to use a game controller with my iPad — so much easier!
2.) Does “TestFlight” require payment or is it a “free” app for iOS? (I know I can probably check the App Store for it, but I don’t want to share my statistics with them, if I don’t have to…)
