Innkeeper is coming to you later today. It’s almost finished, but we got the first sketch from the cover shoot and it derailed us a little bit with its hotness and we had to have some phone calls to discuss it and oooh and aah.
So heads up, looking at the afternoon.
And no we are not showing it yet, because everything is a placeholder at this point, the background, the armor, etc.
Hurray to all of that!
Ruth Ray says
Thanks for the update. Sounds like the cover will be enticing.
William B says
I can wait, just reread the other chapters again.

Fighting off sickness sadness and flu fatigue. Must. Buy. Cat. Food. It’s the power of MAud for the win!
Buy. Cat Food. Feed Critters. Sleep in Peace. Otherwise what awaits is no peace, no quiet!
Sorry that you’re sick. The aftermath of the flu is a major pain, it has made me reconsider the pantry concept that my Mormon friends have….it would have been a godsend.
And after that comment, withholding the eye candy is very mean…….
I think I’d love to see how you work, how the story takes shape 🙂
That makes sense. Appreciate the update and fyi!! looking forward to all upcoming info and inkeepers!
Look how mature and not desperate that response looks!! *walks away very pleased herself and proceeds to adult like never before. Certain that good things will come to those who don’t beg and plead for things the givers have little control over*
Ditto. And delays for hotness are a valid excuse.
??? this is so funny
Exciting. I am excited just from reading your comment. I am glad you think it’s good. Makes for a better day. I can be patient and wait for Innkeeper. Barely.
Hotness and oohs and aahs. Oh yeah….?
Now that “derailed us a little bit with its hotness” sounds like a story worth hearing!

hope you have many more days of “oooohs & aaaaahs”
Hotness?? Can we have a preview? Thanks
And knowing your standards it will be real armor not useless metal bikini ‘it covers the nipples so I’m protected’ armor. Though there was that mention of a chainmail bikini, but that was special occasion happy fun time armor. Great now I’m picturing Hugh in a metal bikini and chuckling manically.
Oh wow now my brain is stuck on that image.
And now metal bikini for Hugh has translated itself in my head to a male chastity belt. LOL
Patricia Schlorke says
How about Arland in a metal bikini (after he’s drunk a cup of coffee straight up)? 😀
I don’t know how guys can go commando with zippers, so I can’t imagine going commando with a chainmail chastity belt. Ooh, owie owie owie.
Very Carefully. You tuck and slowly (and I mean s l o w l y) zip. No chainmail for me, thankyouverymuch. And one miscalc and it is indeed owie owie owie.
Thank you, I almost spit out my soup on that one ?
Alex R. says
Wait….. There are chain mail bikinis?????
Gail k says
Waiting semi-patiently.Thank you for the heads up. Oohh chainmail and hotness !!

I’m just so glad to see the sad Ilona emoji moved down the page. It was giving me the sads, too. I hope the pretty pictures have made the frustration better! Now I can go back to refreshing the page with happy anticipation!

I would like to know the process of getting a cover. I believe in the past you have said you didn’t have much control over the cover. It must be nice to have the input now. Can’t wait to see it. I am looking forward to Hugh’s book just to see the snark fest between he and his HEA. Although Hugh and HEA just does not go together. It should be fun. Can’t wait
Thank you! I have read the last installment four times now.
Only four times?
Amanda P says
How exciting. ?
Waiting patiently, I’ve even done 40 mins on my exercise bike!
Looking forward to Hugh’s book so much! I can’t imagine how the authors will get past him putting his “soul mate” (Kate) into a watery pit to die. How does one go back from such a heinous act? I am looking forward to the smoulder though…. so conflicted, so excited. Enjoy the process.
Looking forward to it.
you are such teases! 🙂 Glad you like it so much and it is ooh and aah – can’t wait to see it 🙂
Arghhhhh! Getting on an 8 hour flight in about 30 minutes… I was kind of hoping to get to read the next installment before boarding. 🙁
ah decisions! i’m 7 hours ahead: Should i got to bed and look for the new instalment first thing tomorrow morning or stayup and press the refresh button every other minute? Its nearly like Christmas evening 🙂
REFRESH…REFRESH….REFresh….Refresh….refresh….refre…snore, snort! Huh?! I’m awake, I’m awake…refresh, refresh…………………. 🙂

Yeah just like that!????
Im dead after whole day with sick kid and a baby but I need my dose ?
Excited for the upcoming hotness. Not sure if reading the comments is a good thing or not since I have a mental image of Hugh in a bikini now, but it’s certainly funny.

Not that I’ve been checking obsessively for the past few hours anyway, hoping
Oh God, I feel like such a stalker constantly refreshing the blog- hopefully not in a creepy way, but still feeling a bit obsessive 😉
I love you guys but sometimes I feel like your writing is making me into something akin to a crack addict. I’m stalking the blog, hitting refresh and losing all sense of empathy and patience. I look back at the Blog title. Wait 30 seconds. Mutter to myself, “Is it later yet?”
And hit refresh.
That’s me. Oh, boy. That is me.
*Refresh* *Refresh* F5, F5, …
Im saving myself…..:-)
Reading chapter a week is torture so Im waiting for all.
How can you wait?! You must have a will of iron. I just can’t help but greedily read as soon as I see it posted!
Pat Sciarini says
Armor? Strategically placed of course! Thank you for updating us…..
And oooh and aaah! ?
Nearly bedtime for me in the uk so guess it’ll be a morning read before getting kids up 😀
Thanks for the updates! Have fun with the cover art
I’m oooohing and aaaahhing anyway if you are!
[Sitting quitely sipping a soda, refreshing the page every now and then, looking forward to the next installment, be it today, tomorrow, or even next month] I am so looking forward to reading this and discovering what happen in the nursery.
Ooooh, hotness – sometime this summer. (Please, no later than summer!)
When you have things figured out, can we get a peek at how you got there? Pretty please?
Innkeeper happens when it happens. I have the attention span of a gnat right now, so I will undoubtedly forget to check again until this evening. Of course, then I will be very happy, so it will be good for a while before I start asking “Is it Friday yet?”
Everything about this post and all the comments just brightened my day.
After I checked all day yesterday until late afternoon and realized it was Thursday and not Friday, I forced myself to find something to do to keep me busy today. Like take my car into the shop to find a problem that is not a problem when I get there. Then spend a few hours while they fix the problem (yes, it reared it’s head as I was leaving), but the new part is part of the same problem ugh. Glad I forgot to check. Saved my sanity.
Looking forward to seeing the new cover ?
Waiting patiently for the next chapter of the Inkeeper ?

Fe, Fi, hmm
I think of Clemmons & Conan (sherlock) & small grown females
The joy of anticipation makes me realize
I’m a glutton, small slices make me want
the whole cake to stuff myself on . . . repeatedly
The cover is just the icing, that makes me want . . .
Lisa Smith says
Just ? lol. You guys are hilarious, especially the chain mail section! Oooohhh and ouch and really? I do not want that mental picture in my head!
Oh It. Lmao
