Hi everyone, Mod R here.

I have some long-awaited Graphic Audio adaptations news!
Innkeeper first, as that’s what most people have wondered about: Sweep of the Heart, the fifth and most recent Innkeeper Chronicles novel, is scheduled for Graphic Audio release this December. Yay, our collections will be up to date! Here are all the Innkeeper GA adaptations which have already been released.
There is no specific date yet in December, but we will of course announce it as soon as preorders go live. In the meantime, the lovely Nora Achrati and team are extremely busy with Kate. How busy?
Well, Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels 3) will be released on the Graphic Audio Access app on August 23rd and on Audible and other 3rd party retailers (including library services, so Overdrive and Hoopla etc) on September 12th. Here is a post with instructions on how to create a GA account and listen on the Access ap or download the other file formats.
The Magic Strikes release will also include, on top of the main novel, the Curran POVs from Small Magics that correspond to Magic Strikes: Midnight Games, Hot Tub and Kate’s Origin. In order to avoid spoilers, the Naked Dinner POV will be included with Magic Bleeds (together with Conclave Scene and Awake).
Speaking of Magic Bleeds, the preorder is already live here on the GA website. It is scheduled for November 1st release on the Access ap, and for Audible and the rest of the usual retailer systems on November 16th.
I know I have to end this with a brief “what is Graphic Audio” for all the newcomers: they are a company that produces full-cast dramatised adaptations of books, with each character being interpreted by a different actor, and adding soundtracks and sound effects. Their tagline is “A movie in your mind” and I think they fully deliver!
I also want to take the opportunity to remind everyone that these are not projects that House Andrews commissioned- they sold adaptation rights for the main Kate Daniels and Innkeeper series to Graphic Audio.
So, whilst there is a lot of collaboration and advice about pronunciations, characters and canon, House Andrews don’t control scheduling or creative choices such as casting, music etc. It is a separate business venture from the traditional audiobooks, the single narrator ones, which either House Andrews or a publishing house produce. The GA adaptations are not a replacement for the one-narrator audiobook format, and those will not cease being released with every book published.
woot woot! so much to look forward to!
Said it before, will say it again – GA rocks. I love how they bring the characters to life. I’m so happy to hear about SotH! I missed Sean and Orro so much!
I made a joke about updating Dick Grayson’s name to Derek, and my youngest said, in very serious voice, “Do not mess with my favorite character from Magic Bites.” (

I love both the single narrator versions and the GA versions. The more the better.
SUPERB!!!
I mean this is great news. Magic Strikes might be my favorite Kate book for the first arena scene. I’m now a big Graphic Audio fan thanks to these adaptations.
🥳🥳
I just recently tried out the graphic audio version of the innkeeper books and wow, they’re beyond amazing. They’re doing a fantastic job and I can’t wait for the new ones to be out.
Woo hoo! I have loved their adaptations!
It’s amazing to me how quickly they produce these considering how much more complicated they must be to produce versus the single narrator versions (love those too so I always get both).
Magic Strikes!!! One of my top 5.
I was a traditionalist – Books only. Then I went on a cruise and carrying around a bunch of books was not feasible, so I tried Kindle. OK, I can get used to this.
But I prefer to read them myself, so never audio. Then I decided to try the GA Innkeeper. Wow, impressive, so now I am adding audio versions.
I still read them first, I buy the digital books, but I am also building up my audio collection. I read Magic Tide/Claims a few times and now I am doing the audio version and am enjoying it. I listen while riding my stationary bike, so it is also helping me exercise. Yay.
I appreciate all of the hard work that House Andrews puts into their work and their efforts show, because they are the only authors whose books I re-read every year.
I’ve already pre-ordered Magic Strikes and am waiting very impatiently for it’s release! 🙂 Thank you very much for posting the pre-order link for Magic Bleeds. I shall go pre-order it post-haste. I love the fact that they are including Curran’s POVs, etc.
I’m delighted to learn that Sweep of the Heart will be coming out on Graphic Audio, too!
Do you know if Hidden Legacy will come out on Graphic Audio at some point?
There are no plans for Hidden Legacy at the moment 🙂, but the plate is a bit full with Kate and Innkeeper, so we’ll see!
so excited for the next GAs. thank you for sharing!
I’m a huge fan of GA adaptations of both Innkeeper and Kate series. I’ve relistened to then too many times to count now. I pick up on more each time and now I’m super curious about her parents. How did her dad get trapped in an in for centuries, how did her mom free him, there is a story there quietly begging to be told… 🙂
P*tience, p*tience, the story will come 😉
To (mis?) quote Gary Larson, “p*tience my *ss; I want to kill something!
This is the order I read. I read with my eyes on my kindle. Then I listen to the Audible and then I listen to the Graphic Audio…. aaaaand then repeat. I must have all 3. Oh, and I loved the Tapas Innkeeper too so hopefully there will be more Innkeeper there someday.
OMG! Fan girling here! Please tell me hidden legacy will one day go to GA? I’ve loved all they have done. And I have ebooks, audible, and GA versions.
There are no plans for it at the moment, but once the schedule clears up a bit, let’s hope so!
I can’t wait to hear the ferret Mission Impossible 😂
+ 100! 🎒🪛💖
OMG, this is exciting news! I love Graphic Audio audiobooks, they are the Best!!
so exciting! somehow I had forgotten to get the second book, work today is going to be great!
When you say “main KD series” do you mean everything from Kate’s POV? Including Magic Gifts? And nothing from Andrea or Dali’s POV?
Hi M,
I mean the 10 main novels (Magic Bites- Magic Triumphs) and Small Magics 🙂 .
None of the Andrea, Dali, or Derek POVs for now.
Thanks for info!
OMG I’m so excited!💜 💜 💜 💜
woohoo! can’t wait for my GA Sweep of the Heart! I think I’m going to invest in the extra MP3 version this time, just in case anything happens to the app. This is going to be a bumper one. I’m dying to hear George’s voice again…
I’m probably missing something, but when will the print edition be out?
Print editions for all the books mentioned already exist 🙂

I am super excited GA is adding SotH! Hubby and I listen to their adaptations together on long car rides. Will definitely add it to our collection when it makes it to Audible.
Question: Is the collaboration with TAPAS going to continue? I enjoyed reading the comic.
The Tapas team that was in charge of adapting Innkeeper has changed (nothing to do with Innkeeper, the original editor left Tapas and the new editor brought their own people). Last I heard, they were going through the projects and having discussions about what they will continue and how, the way these transitions usually go. As soon as anything is known officially, we will update everyone on the blog 🙂.
One good news is that the first season (Clean Sweep) will be published as a physical graphic in print! It’s coming from AndrewsMcMeel and you should be able to find it in Target, B&N https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-innkeeper-chronicles-ilona-andrews/1143635693;jsessionid=210C61D58B890391A320A526C7CB2515.prodny_store01-atgap14?ean=9781524888688, Amazon The Innkeeper Chronicles: The Graphic Novel: Clean Sweep (Volume 1) https://a.co/d/7no1rQa etc. (The release date is March 2024).
yay!!! thank you for sharing this!
Thank you for the update, I was wondering about this!
I have all five of the earlier Innkeeper audiobooks. I can possess my soul in patience. Sweep of the Heart will make a very nice Christmas present to myself.

Orro-La Orro-La La La La! 🎶
Whhhhoooooo hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, ahem! I mean Awesome!
Yay!!! I have been sorta, kinda patiently (so maybe not that patiently) awaiting for news that Sweep of the Heart will be on Graphic Audio! This is most fabulous news!
This is off topic, but I just wanted to tell you Mod R that you are my dream work inspiration. I’m currently looking and hope that I get half as lucky as you with your job! (At least I’m assuming that your job is as amazing as I think it is!) Since IA is taken, anybody know if any other authors need an assistant? 🤞 (What is your official title anyway?) 🤗
Best of luck in your search!
My job is indeed amazing and I still don’t believe it most days- I’ve never been lucky like this before! I don’t know about official, but my title is Blog Moderator 🙂
Love this picture of Kate looking at the ring at night
Please discuss the video background sounds in the Audio! I have to use a hearing aid and the sound swamps the dialogue. It make hearing the Audio a miserable experience at time!
Thanks
Thank you for your feedback, Judy, I will pass it on 🙂
I love these adaptations SOOO much. Making me fall in love with Kate and Curran all over again.
Woohoo! Love me some Kate and Dina on GA!!! (I’m totally serious about how much I love House Andrews work on GA.)
I love love love Graphic Audio, and your books translate so well in their format. Great going!
hi all, just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I am enjoying magic tides and magic claims.
I have read your books for over a decade, since shortly after the first Kate book came out, but drifted away the last couple of years before magic claims…
read it recently and then jumped back into the Wilmington years…. and wow, it is quality. I love the opportunity I see in the story and really hope you keep writing this arc.
Ryder is fantastic as well… can’t wait to see if and how they come together.
Anyway, I know you are tired and crazy busy, so really just wanted to say in person – thanks. Thanks so much, you both are awesome.
Bought this one a couple of hours ago, atm just before Kate found Derek. Graphic Audio does an AMAZING job. It took me a while to get used to Curran (Michael Glenn), but after listening to Wilmington stories I can’t imagine another voice actor for him.
And I just LOVE the new cover art for this edition. Best by far.
