Magic Triumphs, the final novel in the Kate Daniels main series, will be available in full dramatized audio from Graphic Audio on the 20th of May.
That’s eleven instalments (including Magic Gifts) of determination, heykittykittyness, blood, grit, immortal apple pie, and Atlanta mayhem, each one adapted with a full cast, original score, immersive sound effects, and enough snark to satisfy even Kate herself.
If you’ve never listened to a Graphic Audio adaptation before, it’s a full production, a “movie in your mind,” with actors voicing every character. Michael Glenn sacrificed vocal chords to roar like Curran. Nora Achrati basically became Kate, and adapted and directed every book with the same love we have for our favorite gal. KenYatta Rogers would get even Jim’s seal of approval. And the fights? You hear every bone crunch and magic burst.
Next Tuesday, the series will be complete, after a journey that became in 2023. Small Magics will be released with all the KD extras as well as original works like Retribution Clause, Grace of Small Magics, Of Swine and Roses on June 12th.
But wait … completed series doesn’t mean it’s OVER! Kate would never!

The Wilmington Years series AND Blood Heir will both be getting the GA treatment, with Nora at the helm, in the first half of 2026!

I wonder if GA will wait untill book 2 of Iorn Convent is out, or closer to being out, before looking to pick that series up. It seems like a logical choice, but just laymen logic, as I have no industry knowledge.

I’m looking forward to listening to the entire book. The parts I’m looking forward to are when Kate rescues Rowena from the fire trap Neig has her in at King’s Row, the war, especially when Roland betrays Kate, the banishing, and Curran resurrecting Kate and Erra, and the first part when Razor busts out of George’s house holding Conlan.

I’m so grateful for everything that is presented to us, in every medium, but I would totally start a request campaign at Graphic Audio if it would help prove the buying power of the Horde (not that sales alone can’t prove that already).

I would love to hear the part when Andrea and Kate do the hideous purple rug bombing of Raphael’s house, and then Raphael comes home tired and holding Andrea’s gift. That whole scene is hilarious.

Yay!! Because I love her team’s Andrea and Aunt B – both voices separately and paired with Kate’s. I am drooling at the prospect of Andrea coming in to take over he Beta position over cupcakes and informing Aunt B that she’s earned a retirement and as soon as Andrea can take the clan away from her, she should plan to enjoy that.

Ok palm in face. I have absolutly ignored GA. I have tried to listen to audio books and I can’t, I have tried multiple times, my kids used to go to sleep listening to Harry Potter on cd. It drove me nuts. I just figured it probably had something to do with aphantasia (I’m 100% mind blind), just one of those people who can’t listen to books on tape. So I ASSumed I wouldn’t like graphic audio, I mean it’s books on tape with individual charachter voices right? Holey 😸 crap! I clicked on the link and got lost in it for the length of the clip🙀. This is so awesome! Now I can listen to books (at least some) while I quilt😻

Honestly my favorite scene is probably where Conlan puts the cereal bowl on his head like a helmet and, fully naked, waves a turkey drumstick around. I laugh every time I think about it.
The Horde may be mighty (woo hoo for more GA adaptations!) but so is Mod R for getting us so many clips!

I have just started the GA version of Magic Bites. I’m really enjoying it, and I find it interesting how close or far the voices are versus the ones I was imagining. I’m glad the last version is out, so that I can just go from one book to another.

I can say that I am always one of the first to preorder every House Andrews GAbook and really loved the new start to Hidden Legacy. It looks like I will have that series in three formats (if one counts GA separately from narrative audiobook).
It started me on a reread of all of the series (again). I am currently on Fate’s Edge. I have the Edge books in paperback, ebook, and audio so if they get adapted by GA I guess I will have them in four-mat. Haha.
Speaking of the Edge series, I went looking (again) for a map. Has anyone made maps for the IA series? I love having maps for my books. The descriptions of the differences between the Weird and the Broken political geographies are good but I struggle to keep them in my head while characters are moving around in them. Fate’s Edge especially because there are five or six political areas represented between the two worlds (not to mention the edge sections).
Anyone know where I can get a map?
I love the moment when Hugh walks in with Elara. it lives in my head so much it should pay rent. i think it’s because I hated Hugh and then I didn’t, after his book, and the way this moment reminds me of why but still makes me root for them, is just brilliant. because redeeming yourself doesn’t mean you’ll get forgiveness; some things are beyond forgiveness and that’s okay. redemption is your journey, forgiveness is theirs, and you don’t get to demand someone you hurt works on your timeline.

I could never listen to a GA adaptation of a KD book in 2 sittings. The most I made was break to sleep (and it was because I fell asleep with my earbuds on).
