Print Availability of Magic Claims

Our POD books are printed by two printers: Amazon KDP and Ingram Spark.

Amazon KDP – provides books to Amazon customers.

Ingram Spark – provides books to independent retailers, such as independent book stores.

Ingram Spark now distributes to Amazon, so there are two listings for the print.

Amazon edition is here: Amazon Magic Claims. For those of you who have Prime: you will see a little prime sticker on the price. Will be delivered by Monday.

Ingram edition is here: Ingram Magic Claims. No Prime sticker. Will be delivered in “June 23-30th.”

If you are an Amazon customer and you bought the Ingram edition, we advise you to cancel the order and buy Amazon one instead. It’s $1 more, but Amazon will get the book to you.

We apologize for the delay. We haven’t been able to get an answer from Ingram as to why the orders are held up.

  1. Hi, a quick question, I usually order the paper books from Amazon, but a new independent bookstore opened here and I wanted to support them. Should I check with them to advise the change to Amazon?

    • Hi Sarafina,

      No. Independent bookstores exist separately from Amazon, that’s the whole point ☺️. They will order directly from the distributor.
      The issue is only for Amazon orders. B&N, Bookshop etc- have all had their print copies shipped.

  2. I contacted Amazon and said that it should have been known that there was two different shipping. As a prim member and picking the one day shipping option I should have been aware of this. The rep that I spoke with said that this happened to me because of not having a Amazon shipment facility near me, which there is because of this, they went through the third party. Not sure how true that is. They told me that once I received the book I would be able to contact them and get a refund and get to keep the book. But I don’t want the refund if that is going to affect y’all in any negative way. Honestly, I would just be happy if they just sent me a book with one day and I would pay for both but I’m worried that I won’t get the one day option and the second book will arrive at the same time or later. I’m going to try( anxiety keeps me home that’s why I ordered from Amazon) going to the store today and see if they have it. Loved the zoom today and glad I got my answer about Aunt B I see her that way too 😁

    • Depending on a big company to give you an accurate statement is like expecting the weather forecast for next week to be accurate😂.
      I myself wouldn’t rely on it being accurate. I bought through B&N, book nook, and was reading just after midnight Tuesday. I just finished my fifth read, it’s fantastic. I missed the zoom🙁.

  3. I’ve ordered from Amazon UK and my order is telling me I won’t get my paperback until 5th July! So glad I bought kindle edition as well! 😂

    • I had this with Amazon UK too. a day or two after realease a new page went up with prime shipping, I missed the next day slot but got it the day after. please consider searching magic claims again and cancelling the preorder!

  4. I preordered from bookshop.org and got my paperback copy the Friday before the book released on Tuesday. I have never had an issue with bookshop.

  5. Just want to thank House Andrews and Mod R for the Zoom today it was a lot of fun and full of spoilers that made me squeal and smile.

    Also while the BDH is obsessive we can also be as dumb as bricks and not see all the breadcrumbs you throw in our path thank you for pointing those out.

  6. I posted in the prior spoiler thread that I pre-ordered a print copy in May, and got a message that it’s scheduled to be delivered next week. Apparently it’s the Ingram version, though I’m not sure there was a choice back when I pre-ordered.
    If it’s at all useful to you in helping to figure out why things are so delayed, I can email a screenshot of the tracking updates.

  8. I met with our Ingram rep yesterday. As she was demonstrating a new product we are subscribing to, we discovered that the title with the largest number of back orders at Ingram is Magic Claims. The rep said, I have no idea what this book is or why there are so many back orders.
    Behold the power of the BDH. I think maybe demand has overpowered supply and they are catching up!

      • I explained to her about the BDH and waxed rhapsodic about House Andrews. I think she made notes to read a couple of titles!

        We are enthusiastic and mighty!

    • I pre-ordered from Indigo (Canadian version of B&N) and was about to work through the merry go round of customer service, I was supposed to receive my copy on Friday… it hasn’t shipped yet and I guess I know why now!

  11. I’m really curious to know, is the cover model for Magic Breaks and Magic Rises, and the same person as the cover model on Magic Tides and Magic Claims. I know that this is an unimportant detail, but I would like to look know. I think that they are different people, but I don’t know for sure so if you could let me know I would appreciate it.

  13. Hi. This is off topic a bit. I decided to do a major reread of all Kate daniels books and I came to the website looking for a list that used to be here of everything in chronological order including Curran povs and short stories. I didn’t find that list sadly, maybe I don’t know how to search. But weirder than that, I don’t see a regular book listing for Gunmetal magic here, just a mention of it in the listing for magic gifts. Is it under a different heading now or …? I already have all the books, I just thought this was very strange and maybe I just need lessons on how to use your search function. Anyway I thought to point it out just in case it somehow got lost in the website move.

  14. I preordered my Nook copy and the paperback was preordered from Amazon. The E-book came in at 11 PM Monday as usual. Normally the print version from Amazon comes in early, this time no, it came in on the 17. Amazon notified me I received a discount. Yes I did, $0.01.

    But who is the cousin that tried to kill her? I was think Hugh but I thought she viewed him as a sibling and he didn’t necessarily try and kill her more liked accidentally tried 😂
