August 23, 2022 is a double release for us. RUBY FEVER and the Tapas Clean Sweep adaptation will both be released on August 23, 2022. This never happened before.
There will be no in-person signings for several reasons. We are still a bit wary of pandemic, as we now have Monkeypox in our county, there are numerous travel delays, and our time is better spent writing Sweep of the Heart so we can keep up with FrInnDay. Just as an aside, if we ever did something else, like an Arabella short story, on Fridays, would it still be FrInnDay?
We are not going to see you in person but we are doing a large virtual tour. Now we are going to turn the blog over to Mod R.
There will be the usual book discussion and spoiler post available on release day, please try to not comment spoilers until then on the blog- you can send your early questions to Mod R at modr@ilona-andrews.com.
Hi, Mod R here. A few clarifications before we get to the schedule:
ZOOM
Zoom is a video-conferencing software, which you can sign up for here: ZOOM (it is free). You do not need a camera or microphone as a guest, only us and the moderators will be on video. Zoom is a good program but it’s not meant to host very large gatherings, so the stops on our tour will ask you to please register in advance.
Reddit is a discussion website. Posts are organized by subject into user-created forum boards called “communities” or “subreddits”. We will be doing an AMA (ask me anything) hosted by the r/romancebooks subreddit, lasting 2 hours. You will need to have a Reddit account if you wish to ask questions in the AMA post, but you can read the comments on the forum without one. We will post the direct link to the relevant thread closer to the date.
Signed Copies
If you would like to own a signed copy of Ruby Fever for your collection (and support an independent bookstore in the process) you can order through the Blue Willow Bookshop. If you have any questions or want to enquire about international delivery, please contact Cathy directly at cathy@bluewillowbookshop.com . Please also contact them first if you are local and want to go hunt for your early copy, in order to avoid disappointment. NOTE: “Signed book” in this case means a book with a signed bookplate sticker. Personalization is unfortunately not possible, as the bookplates are sent in advance to avoid delays in shipping.
If you lose the link to our virtual book tour, you can access it from our homepage, right above the release counter for RUBY FEVER.
Unfortunately, we have to end on a warning note: a fraud ring impersonating well-known authors is sending direct messages and comments on social media relating to fake book giveaways.
There are no planned giveaways on any of our social media accounts. Giveaways will only be announced and held here on the official website. Neither us nor Mod R will use social media messaging to contact our fans or to solicit money. No money will ever exchange hands for a giveaway. Please be vigilant.

Whoo! cannot wait for the double feature <3

FYI for some reason when I click on the link to Blog posts on the main site, the cover I see is Emerald Blaze. Once you go into the list of blog posts then Ruby Fever shows.
Having such a hard time waiting for RF to come out!
Moderator R says
Thank you! Fixed (hopefully heh)
Fern says
yes, thank you! And perfect avatar {insert red dress fierce emoji}
Moderator R says
😀 I was wondering whether someone will notice!
Ruby Fever season is here!
Raffy says
BDH notices everything????
Patricia Schlorke says
I noticed it when I read your reply. Very fierce! 😀
The BDH sees all, knows all (most of the time).
Sara B. says
ooh – new ModR icon – very nice
herisf says
totally fixed! Sorry, really busy day at work.
Sleepy says
Yay, signed up!
Ellen says
What is that I hear in the distance? Thousands of shrieking Arabella fans pounding over to their computers to demand details? Well played. 🙂
Moderator R says
???? I immediately perked up. Immediately.
cin says
Yes yes yes!!
Eda says
A FriHLday for Arabella would be awesome!! ????????
Jazzlet says
FrHidday perhaps? Don’t know, but I would love if it happened whatever it ends up being called!
Moderator R says
FreeTheBeastDay? ????
Yana says
FabellaDay for me, I think, and it will be epic!
K says
+1000!!!!
Verslint says
Arabella short story will turn FrInnDay into Freakin’AwesomeDay… FAD
Heh
Donna A says
Faraday, Frabday, Farabday? A day of greatness? Best day? The day before the weekend? The day that comes after Thursday but before Saturday? Long awaited end of the week day? Why isn’t it now day? When is it coming day? Can it be soon day? Hell yes please gimme day?
jewelwing says
Fabday!
Patricia Schlorke says
How about Freebella day? It kind of ties in with you Mod R with FreetheBeastDay. 🙂
Spring says
Maybe instead of FrInndays they could by FriYays. 🙂
Ms. Kim says
That’s great. I go for FriYays.
Nancy says
Yes! ❤ FriYays!
Verslint says
+1 for FriYays!
njb says
I rather think all of us would love an Arabella short, so of course! Hope you enjoy your tour!
Jerrica says
Love Arabella! So excited that there *might* be more to her story in the future! The previous short stories and snippets from her perspective are so funny! She can be everyone’s Cool Aunt. ????
Ms. Kim says
+100
Sam says
Man, I can’t wait for Ruby Fever! And I think I’ll try out the Tapas Innkeeper also, to check out the new character(s). Comics are not really my thing, but I’ll have to give this one a shot.
Also, it would be FrArabella Day (rhymes with Tara-bella)… Wait… is this a hint of something? A possible Arabella serial????????? ????????????????????
Em says
If there was an Arabella story on Fridays then it would be Faraday. Felladay? Belladay? Cleverer minds than mine will make a truly punny name.
Ms. Kim says
+1
CJ says
FriEnday 🙂
lia says
oooo and Arabella short would be amazing! I’m a huge fan of the serial format – it really gives me something to look forward to each week.
And add me to the BHD members who will be dropping everything to attend multiple virtual tour events next week – so excited!
Ms. Kim says
Friday is delicious tidbit day. Possibly a snippet, possibly a chapter. Whatever you want to give us on Friday is fabulous with me.
Chloe says
Hey Mod R,
Will some /any of these events be recorded and posted on the blog? I’m having a really weird next couple of weeks and I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to any.
Moderator R says
I know Blue Willow will be posting the August 24th Q&A on their YouTube channel and I’ll do my best to get the August 27 Zoom recorded, edited and transcripted for the blog ????.
Houston library are live-streaming so it will probably be on their Fb account after that (I believe livestreams are usually saved on Fb?).
Not sure about the panel on the 20th, sorry.
Chloe says
Thank you!
Dandufrenger says
Having an Arabella story on FrInnDay would be great! Although I would refer to it as FAraDay and would get quite a charge out of it.
P.s. 47th post? Maybe in base 15?
njb says
That was punny!
Donna A says
I’m quite partial to Faraday myself but wasn’t sure anyway else would be attracted to it ????
Ms. Kim says
I don’t know where to fit this comment, but how about Tamara Taylor to play Catalina (she played Camille Saroyan on Bones). That sensitive but tough and really smart character is who I see as Catalina.
Christie says
Love the new avatar, ModR. Noticed immediately. You go girl! Thanks for all you do. Still waiting on Ruby Fever deliveries in Solano/Sacramento/Napa counties………OMG!!!! Avid Book Reader in Davis, CA just called and said they have a copy for me!!!!!! ( the sound of a sonic boom as I leave for Davis)
Barbara Swanson says
Not sure if anyone else had this:
FAraday
And, yes PLEASE…..
Sara B. says
Now I am thinking about authors enclosed in a Faraday cage on Fridays so no one can bug them …
Travis says
But I got lucky and found one of the previously mentioned “out in the wild” print copies so it doesn’t mess up my reading schedule and I don’t have to choose which to read first…..
DK says
Just as an aside, if we ever did something else, like an Arabella short story, on Fridays, would it still be FrInnDay?
an aside ?? OR a spoiler (PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS)
really * really * truly wouldn’t matter what you call it..I can see Arabella in comic form….ohhhh my brain has got it’s running shoes on
Mod R is always red-dy..great choice
Sjik says
Okay, so is this a testing the waters situation for the House IA multiverse? Arabella at Gertrude Hunt Inn? For future FrInnDays???????????????????????????????????????????????? Because yes! Like what if Arabella had a run-in with a summoner mage and something messed up and the beast side of her was banished along with the summoned creatures into the big bad universe where the new gate at Gertrude Hunt recognized an adventurer in need and decided to let Arabella in???? {Yes I know how kooky this sounds but come on, how cool would a true IA multiverse be? It would grind all other multiverses into dust}
Moderator R says
???? There is no way to get the BDH let go of the multiverse.
I think the only thing Arabella and the Inn might have in common is the Friday spot ????
Tom says
One way….Arabella calls Catalina over in a ‘deleted scene’ to ask whether the newest ‘Innkeeper Post’ has been published yet…
I could see the Baylor Girls reading the adventures of Dina!
Sam says
I like this idea!
Sjik says
Sigh, well, we’ll just keep on hoping I guess
Lynn Thompson says
Thank you, Ilona Andrews and mod R, for the post.
Agree with you about pandemic carefulness.
Thank you mod R for the info.
No, Ilona Andrews regarding your question about Fridays: I don’t care if snippet on Friday is an Arabella snippet or Innkeeper or some other tale. Either way Titan is going to get told a story while his belly is rubbed. Spoiled rotten knucklehead pup and his human Friday unwinding de-stress routine. ????
Tracy S. says
FrInndays could br frHAdays (I imagine it pronounced with a soft southern accent) 😉
I love HA, Mod R, and this whole community of book lovers. Thanks for making tough times more bearable.
Ms Blaise says
Wouldn’t it be Feast Day?
Skye says
FriBella Day?
Keera says
I think I can only make one of those maybe 2 if I listen while Im working. But thank you for making time to do a few virtuals.
We are in the middle of our very last military move. Most of those days I will either moving to the hotel or driving to Nj to my Mother in laws house, and then house hunting or working. But Im going to try my best to squeeze in some time!
jewelwing says
Best wishes to you on the move, and thank you for all you do.
Relin says
I mean, the Friday Innkeeper always makes me grin… so would any other novels written in that manner to be honest! It is always such a blast and such a unique way to experience such lovely writing!
So excited for the tour!
Martha Christina says
+1,000,000
Mary says
I think I read this wrong. I saw blah blah, Arabella short story, blah, blah.
So, when do we get the Arabella short story?
/s
Jen says
???????????? same
Elaine Cohoon Miller says
Yay! I pre-ordered the ebook of RUBY FEVER then found out Sunday that some early irds were appearing in some B&N store. Picked up a copy yesterday. Woo hoo!!! Adore, adore, adore.
Still hoping for a trilogy for Arabella, the a big make-it-10-books finale with the whole crew. Maybe???
Sherri says
I tried my local B&N and the clerk was pretty snippy about “not before the release date”. This was the first time I’ve had someone be less than fabulous at B&N. In two decades of shopping there I guess that’s really good!
Moderator R says
Oh, sorry you had a bad experience! The soft release means that there are no penalties associated with selling it early, but it is still at the bookstore’s latitude if they want to do so. I can imagine the Horde has inquired …*ahem* persistently since the the weekend.
NomadiCat says
If an Arabella short appeared one Friday, I believe the collective screaming could be heard from Neptune.
But if we HAD to give it a name?
To borrow a quote from Orro, I vote that we all yell “FIRE!” with great enthusiasm and call them “FIREday” posts.
SJ says
???? yes!
Tempest says
If you decided to do something else besides Innkeeper as a serial, it would be FriYAY! — we get words!
Ms. Kim says
+1000
SJ says
I propose it transition from FrInnDays to FrAHDays (easier to pronounce than FrHADays, though now that I’ve typed it out, I don’t mind it so much ????)
Meredith says
Selfishly, I love Innkeeper and hate to give away its spot. I read everything you put out but am a little less excited about Hidden Legacy. However, it’s your business and you get to do as you creatively wish. Thanks for asking us, you are always so thoughtful.
Goldie says
+1
Laura says
If you did an Arabella short story on a Friday, it would be a FrellaDay!
Ms. Kim says
I like that too.
Maria Dee Austin says
I am registered, and Alexa has a reminder programmed!
Moderator R says
Woohoo! I can’t wait, I get to chat with House Andrews twice ????
Catlover says
I vote for an Arabella Friday!
Judy Siud says
After the current Innkeeper series ends on Fridays, I would love to read a weekly series of Arabella. Thanks for giving us a chance to voice our opinions.
Andrea says
Darn, I was really hoping for another Dragoncon appearance.
Breann says
Adult me: I fully support any and all stories on any day of the week in any and all series, even those yet to be created. ????
Gollum me: Gimmee, gimmee alllllllllllllllll the precious wordssssss!!! ????
????
Ms. Kim says
That is so good. +1000
Regina says
Thank you for the Friday treats! It’s nice to have something wonderful to look forward to as we count down the days until the weekend.
Just off the cuff, I’m kinda liking “Fridden” for Hidden Legacy Friday.
Mary says
Friddey? ????????
Deb says
I love the serial format every week. I’ll miss Dina and crew, but a story, or two, about Arabella will be fabulous. Fabulous Fraraday. 🙂
Anke says
As an european fan I’m so thankful for the opportunity to take part in a zoom meeting. I’d never be able to come to an “in person event” in the US, so thank you, thank you, thank you for the alternative! And at great time for Europe as well. \o/
Tom says
Echoing the Thanks of other international fans for the wide ranging tour – sounds like fun!
Equally, anything you choose to share with us on a Friday, we’ll be grateful for (or at least should be!) – even if you wanted to do a series of One Shots to get through the backlog of BDH demands for X with Y doing Z activity… but an Arabella serial would be excellent!
Anna says
Hey!
Arrabella FrInnDay sounds like fun buuut… I was realliy-really hoping for an Arabella book (or two). I’m not ready to say good-bye to the Baylors. And also she is fascinating and deserves to shine after supporting her sisters for so long.
No pressure, he-he ))
Naenae says
For the AMA can we get 15 minutes alone with “Mr. I like to share secrets”? I think we can get the next few book ideas out of him in that time.
Other Barbara says
Will the different virtual events be available afterwards?
I have a hard time with accents and sometimes need to slow recorded speech a bit as well as increase volume and decrease other in-room sounds.
I have adjustable hearing aids that allow the audio to go right into my ears and at same time lower outside sounds like fans, fire trucks etc.
BelleBok says
Yay! Yay! And Yay again!!!
Brittany K says
Any chance of getting a signed bookplate through other means if we have already purchased through another vendor? I’ve seen some authors sell bookplates on Etsy, is that an option? I’d love to have one for all my books.
Greg Morrow says
My squeal will be audible to you in Hill Country if you do Arabella stories in between Inn stories!
Lisa B. says
Yes, it will always be FrInn day in my heart, and yes I will always joyfully read whatever you write for FrInn day.
CharisN says
Ruby Fever sighting! St. Augustine, FL Barnes & No 2 copies left on the shelves in Romance!
Tom & Samantha Heyns says
always found your books in SF/fantasy. This time I had to ask for help B&N had it in Romance
Pragya says
Hi,
I can’t find any hidden legacy audio books on audible India. Have they been removed? I think I remember seeing them earlier.
Moderator R says
Hi Pragaya,
Thank you for letting us know! We will investigate.
Len says
5 days left.
Well for 90 minutes, then it’s 4 days.
AnnFlo says
Can’t wait for the Happy Double Releasr Day!
Please more FrInnDays!
Pretty please!!! ????????????????
Kath says
Thanks for Ruby Fever soft launch. Snagged 1 of 3 copies on shelf at B&N near Perimeter Mall in Atlanta! Still think it odd they put Hidden Legacy in Romance. But now I can devour this weekend vs sneak peeks during work on Tuesday!!
Sara says
Hey, Ruby Fever was reviewed (positively!) in the Sunday NY Times! Congratulations!
Anindya says
So many hours still! So little patience!!
Anindya says
Received it. Pre-ordering rocks!
V says
An Arabella story on Fridays would definitely be FrARday.
Ceilidh Dalton says
My daughter and i have been waiting and watching the countdown but now cant seem to but it on our Kobo store (Australia) even though we pre rdered it there.
Ceilidh says
In just turned up. Yay!
