This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me

This is our newest book, This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me. Maggie has been obsessing over an unfinished epic fantasy series for years, and one day she wakes up in it. Normally this sort of thing gives you awesome powers, but no, she wakes up naked, choking on muddy water in a rain ditch, and without any upgrades. Her only weapon is her encyclopedic knowledge of the books.
She realizes that this is a real world, not a book, and decides to save it.
Read if you like: epic fantasy, deadly knights and assassins, found family, slow burn, high stakes, intrigue, nobody can be trusted, cute animal companions or if you ever wanted to end up in your favorite book.
Can you explain your series fast?
Innkeeper Chronicles: Earth is secretly the Atlanta airport of the galaxy, and the alien travelers stay in hidden inns ran by innkeepers. If you ever wanted a tour of the Galaxy, cozy romance, found family, and sense of wonder, this one is it. This is our most popular series.
Hidden Legacy: a couple hundred years ago, people were trying to cure the flu and came up with a serum that awakened latent magical powers. The powers turned to be hereditary. Ha-ha. This one has a ton of flashy magic, politics, spice, ice-cold male leads, etc.
Kate Daniels: the world has suffered a magic apocalypse, and now magic floods in waves, bringing monsters and calamities. When it’s up, electricity fails and guns can’t fire. When it’s down, magic fizzles out. This is your classic urban fantasy with a very violent heroine who has a dark secret, lots of magic, lots of shapeshifter politics, one-liners, slow burn, found family, touch her and die. Start with the third book, Magic Strikes. The first two are meh, because this is our first one and we didn’t know what we were doing.
KD World: All of the fun spinoffs from Kate Daniels, and most can be read without committing to the main series.
The Edge: imagine that there is an overpass. On one side there is our world without magic, and on the other sides there is a world with magic. The overpass is the Edge, where there is some magic. People of the Edge are poor and not welcome in either of the worlds. These are romances, pretty much stand alones with a very loose connecting arc, and Bayou Moon is probably the best of the lot.
