The first editorial pass of Maggie #2 has been turned in to Tor. This was a gargantuan amount of work. We are probably not going to do that again. We will need to manage our time better in the future.
We will now wait to see if Tor accepts this manuscript.
Phew. Very tired. Going to take the rest of this week to decompress a little bit and catch up on important things like sleep.
If you are one of the small amount of customers waiting on vellum – the printer has informed me that they finally got it ordered and it’s in Oklahoma right now. We will also have the substitute version that will be printed this week and should ship to us by Friday.

Speaking of GraphicAudio, i finally listened to Magic Bites, purchased a while ago, and it was sooo fantastic that i had to go back and get the rest of the series. I’m hooked Great choice for an audio rendition. 10/10 highly recommend

On the topic of audiobooks, I was really disappointed to see that the newly released Spanish versions of the Hidden Legacy books are narrated by Virtual Voice. What’s going on with that?

The Spanish editions are foreign licensed editions, so all the decisions, including whether to produce an audio format in the first place and what narration to use, are made by the Spanish-language publisher who is now the rightsholder, not by Ilona and Gordon anymore.
House Andrews weren’t involved in that decision and unfortunately don’t have control over the narrator or format chosen for a foreign-language licensed book, they are not even consulted on it generally.
We understand readers are unhappy with the use of Virtual Voice, and I will be bringing this to the attention of House Andrews and their agent once they had a couple of days for sleep and recovery, however the best place to direct that feedback will always be the Spanish publisher themselves and/or Audible.
I can assure the Horde that for audiobook productions House Andrews does control or has input into, Ilona and Gordon have been very clear about their position: they do not support Virtual Voice/AI narration and will always select human narrators and artists.
Aurelia Ryder It’s one of the richest veins of the Kate Daniel series. I was so enamored with the first book. I’ve been hoping so very much that you would go back to this because it is amazing. First book and I would love to deal into that world again with this character.
Is there any hope for a follow up to this book?
I am so glad you loved Blood Heir! A second book in the Aurelia Ryder series is expected, however it is not yet on the schedule. At least Wilmington Years 3 would have to precede it so that everything the story requires is set up.
