I have a couple of posts I would like to write, but they must wait till tomorrow. A difficult scene is coming up, and it must be done right. The only way to do it to live through the emotions it requires.
We will walk this path with Maggie, because that is the price we pay for authenticity.

I openly sobbed during the one dark scene in TKWNKM. I had to turn off the book, get up from my desk and take a walk outside to gather myself. I guess I should be prepared to do so again. 😭😭

Question though, will these be in the box that you spoke of or not? I really want them, but also want the (details currently unknown) box and wasn’t sure if it would be better to get them both together or order these now and then the box, when available.

That box will be modular, I guess, is the right word. You will get a chance to choose the level of it. So if you already bought vellum, you can exclude it.

Disclaimer first: the plans and dates for the box aren’t finalised or official, so all details are subject to change 🙂
There will probably be 3 tiers of the box:
Tier 1 will contain all the goodies – including vellums.
Tier 2 will allow you to exclude the items you already bought separately or don’t want.
Tier 3 will be more streamlined and bargain priced for basics.

How in the name of heaven do you stay sane through writing these dark sections? Your mental elasticity is incredible. I certainly wish you great mental health and peace of mind. I can’t even read them through the first time. I have to go back and read them piece meal and then skip them on the next full read throughs. And I worked on an ambulance and ER Mfor 8 years with (almost) no nightmares.
+1 I just finished my third reread of Maggie and tried to carefully read the Butcher torture scene and found so much more (that disturbed me.) Great writing, IA. But difficult to read apparently as much as it is difficult to write, yet the story really wouldn’t work as well without it.

Been a lurker but thought I’d post for the first time today! I was one of the lucky few to purchase the first vellum run, and just received them today. They are beautiful, and I am happy to have them!
I will say they were packaged as well as could be, but future runs will need to be labeled “Do not bend.” The mail-person bent mine (protective cardboard insert and all) to jam it in my mailbox so all of my vellums are bent/creased 😭. Hoping they’ll flatten out when placed within the book
I may purchase another set when the special box becomes available. Anyway, I hope this feedback helps HA plan and prevent the same thing happening in the official run!

I just discovered the wonderful books y’all write and I just can’t stop reading them. I finish one and quickly get the next book in the series. I love the Kate Daniels book series and spin off. I would love to see a spin off for Derek and Julie for them to get a whole series for themselves. PS I also loved, “This kingdom will not kill me”

The Innkeeper Chronicles series is not finished. The authors have talked about at least one, but most probably two final books which will resolve the missing parents arc.
