    And since the last post from here I read was the bdsm dungeon house, I can’t help but set this conversation in that setting, so it’s extra shudder-worthy.

    As to release schedule I preorder, forget about it until I get notification I was charged (in other words, release date). But I fo like to schedule free time for book reading so, that’s helpful.

    P.S. as an aside to members of the BDH who cheer me on, I’ll have some of my photography exhibiting in a regional gallery, at a national trust property in Australia next month. And yes, I’ve had Men at Work’s “Land Down Under” in my head ever since I got the news. #earworms

      Also, what part of the land of Oz are you in? I’m in Melbourne and would love to see your exhibition if I can get there ??

      • I’m in Texas, I just happen to have some work heading there to exhibit in March. I’m waiting on a few final details, my understanding is its a spot somewhere around Sydney.

        I was invited as they’re putting together an exhibit spotlighting work from New York’s Hudson River Valley, and I have exhibited & sold in a gallery there previously.

        I wish I was accompanying the art, but I’m not. My friend though is hosting a workshop in country next month. ?

        Although, as much as Id want to take photos there, we Americans have an impression of Australia being the land where nature is trying to kill you, so I’m kinda scared too ?.

        • Don’t believe the hype! As an Aussie I can assure you that we rarely see the dangerous stuff ? come down to visit if you can!

        • It’s not dangerous, and before I moved to Aus I grew up in a country with zero snakes and 3 venomous types of spider that nobody I knew had ever seen.

          I’m in Sydney, so which gallery or the name of the exhibition and I’ll look out for it.

  14. This is day 4 of Snow days in Seattle. I spent the last few days, eating, sleeping, listening to books, watching Midsomer Murders, and shoveling snow…a lot of snow. Thanks for the snippet – can’t wait to see what the Baylors have been up do since becoming a HOUSE.

    • How much snow did you get? Been hearing stories of things running out at the stores due to the snow. Right now we are getting lots of rain turning to ice in Illinois. Would rather have two or three inches of snow than a layer of ice! Hope I can open my car door tomorrow when I need to get to work! Very nervous about going out! I fell on glare ice in our driveway two weeks ago… my knee hurt for a week!

  30. I’m usually a quiet and reserved reader, but when I read the snippet I burst out laughing and scared the hell out of our little dog! If the poor thing had leaped up any faster she would have slipped out of her skin! So thank you for two belly laughs… totally worth getting major stink eye from the offended pooch.

  31. thank you – anything you give us is so appreciated. dealing w snow in Victoria, which rarely happens, yes Seattle got a dump and we bypassed that first pass of snow, but it is hitting us now. this snippet is odd, trying to figure in what context this convo will be happening, so intrigued and cannot wait for this book. my absolute favourite series you guys have done.

    • I didn’t look at the release schedule first. That definitely is tight. More date nights need to be scheduled!

  43. Awesome snippet! Catalina is shaping up to be a very deep character. The way her magic has shaped her perceptions and interactions with others is obviously quite profound. It’s super awesome that we have Arabella to look forward to, too!

    • I would like to add as a non-audible member… will Iron and Magic and the Kinsmen audio also be on MP3 CD? I was thrilled to get Magic Triumphs on MP3 CD and hardcover!

  53. Do we have a date certain for the Audiobook release? Audible is not showing it in the coming soon, (which FWIW does not mean anything as books have popped up on release day that were not to be found in coming soon 24 hours earlier)

Also, https://hiddenlegacy.ilona-andrews.com/cast-of-characters/ only reflects #1 and the formatting is off. If the Release Schedule page is going to link to these pages, getting them current might be a good project for Brandi?

    I’m not sure what I think about that, but it is interesting.
