Sweep of the Heart, the fifth and most recent Innkeeper Chronicles novel, will be released on the Graphic Audio Access app tomorrow, January 19. You can order it here. The dramatized adaptation will show up on February 2nd on other retailers like Audible, Hoopla, Chirp, Overdrive etc.
Just in time for the cold weekend ahead (for most of us). May we all be as comfortable as Cyanide in this exclusive treat Graphic Audio sent for the blog Horde:
Hehe, #TeamKitty. All the attentions!
Graphic Audio are also in the process of recording Magic Slays, with a bonus of Magic Tests (Julie’s story from Small Magics). The preorder is already live on the GA website: first appearances for Roman, Yu Fong, dangerous Lightkeeper conspiracies, we’ll hear them all! It is scheduled for a March 25th release everywhere. You’ve heard that right, the new system will hopefully go simultaneously across all the platforms, and there will be only one date from now on.
Answers to a few questions I’ve received about the Graphic Audio adaptations recently:
Can we have a list of Ilona Andrews books released by Graphic Audio so far, to be sure we have them all?
The fastest way to check this is to search for Ilona Andrews in the Graphic Audio catalogue. Here’s the result I’ve prepared earlier.
In summary, once Sweep of the Heart comes out tomorrow, we are up to date with the Innkeeper Chronicles, all 5 novels and 1 novella.
We have up to and including book 4 in the Kate Daniels series. The Kates also contain the bonus material from Small Magics, such as the Curran POVs that correspond with each book, Questionable Client, Magic Tests etc. For now, Graphic Audio are only adapting the 10 novels of the main series and the Small Magics content, not any of the companion novels (Andrea, Dali, Derek etc). Don’t go all Horde Mode on me, I’ve said “for now” hehe.
A reminder that Ilona Andrews doesn’t commission Graphic Audio for adaptations, they are an independent business who purchase the adaptation rights from our beloved authors and make their own decisions about which and how and when.
Why are only the first 4 Kate Daniels books on Graphic Audio?
Because Nora Achrati and team are still in the process of recording them. The first book was launched in April of last year, meaning an amazingly fast rhythm of release of roughly 1 book every couple of months. The behind-the-scenes process takes a lot of hard work, involving script adaptation, cross referencing, casting the right actors, recording, editing and sound designing. We will get to hear more about it soon, but that’s a surprise.
In the meantime, I wish us all soft blankets, chewy cookies and happy listening!
Fern says
And our coffee pipin’ hot! Cheers to the fabulous job Nora and team have done on the House Andrews GA adaptations.
On the topic, any more bloopers? The first set were such a treat!
Moderator R says
We’ll see what Magic Slays puts the team through 😀
I’ve subjected poor Nora to interminable emails about the casting of Roman, as you can all imagine 😀 (#NoRegrets). I’ll be first in line to ask for blooper funnies!
Mo says
Ooo, I’ve had my fingers crossed for a good Kosandion voice! I like this! How big is the cast for this adaptation, given ALLLL the voices required?
Moderator R says
You can have a look at the cast on the GA website page for SotH here 🙂 https://www.graphicaudiointernational.net/innkeeper-chronicles-5-sweep-of-the-heart.html – at least 45 people!
Mo says
Ooo, that wasn’t up when I last checked, thanks! Excited that Gaston gets his own voice. Also pleased to see that the run time got extended from the earlier “guestimate” – the book is on the longish side (compared to other HA books), so I hope it’s as close to unabridged as is reasonable!
Kate says
They have spoiled me for audio books with only one narrator.
Shai says
So much! It’s more than a little disappointing, no matter how good the narrator is.
Marisa says
Agree! The GA books are incredible!
Breann says
They do an amazing job and so quickly too! Love them!
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for more bloopers and behind the scenes. The interviews with the narrators were really fun!
Thank you for sharing! 🤗
Brooke says
Yes! I would love to hear more bloopers and more about the process.
Arezoo says
I love the GA of innkeeper so much. I’ve already re-listened to all the available ones so many times in the last year, ( I’m pretty sure I’m in double digits now), and I finished my most recent full re-listen on Tuesday. I’m ready for the next one.😁
Thanks for the snippet.❤️
Mo says
And, oooo, there is now a clip up on the Graphic Audio site! It’s Kosandion’s introduction, when Caldenia finally realizes who is at the center of the Spouse Selection (well, publicly, anyway, I say Her Grace always knew, at some level, who it had to be). We get to hear Gaston, Kosandion and Caldenia!
Susan Young says
I LOVE the Graphic Audio adaptations. They have spoiled me with all other audio books. Nothing else measures up
njb says
Pretty darn decent purring there! Heheheh
Cynthia A Hamon says
Thank you Mod R for all your help and information. I have a request/question/inquiry, I know that HA changed websites and the short stories that were on the original one are gone. However, I was wondering if HA had a copy of these short stories and if so would they be willing to put them back on the website? So this is so long. Thank you for any and all help.
Moderator R says
Hey Cynthia- all the currently available short stories are here, on the free fiction page https://ilona-andrews.com/free-fiction/. If they’re not there, they are either lost to time or House Andrews wants to keep them archived for now.
Hope this helps 🙂
Nickole195 says
huge fan of GA, to the point I am ordering them directly as i have no patience waiting for them to get to Hoopla or Overdrive….no regrets at all – best I am also in the double digit re-listening of them as well. movie in your mind is so apt. thank you all!!
Patricia Schlorke says
I heard the snippet you gave us, Mod R. Thank you! Whoever does Kosandion’s voice is what I thought of in my head. Great job.
I was laughing throughout the entire listen. Poor Dina having over 200 pounds of cat on her lap who wants all the attentions. 😀
Bat says
I read the post title and was wondering what was going on in Georgia 😂
Wendy says
So excited!!! OMG the clip 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i can’t stop laughing
Katie R says
I can’t wait to listen to these with my hubby. Was going to wait for a road trip, but I think a cold winter’s evening curled up on the couch might be just the thing.
Lynne Davidson says
Can’t wait, I have both versions but have come to love GA.
Now we can have the whole set!!
House DeMille says
Great news! I had it written as 22nd for some reason. Looking forward to it.
Daphne says
Thanks for the update, this is super exciting! GA does a fantastic job.
Mika says
First appearance of Roman but more importantly the one and only Dr. Luther Dillon, WOOP WOOP!
Regina says
Both the books and the Graphic Audio adaptations started out great and keep getting better!

Hello 🙂
Was it me you were looking for? (sorry, I tried to stop myself, the urge was too strong!)
AP says
Well played Mod R! 😂
Oracle22 says
Speaking of audio, now I have a &*#@! ear worm! 🤪
Shai says
The team at Graphic Audio have been AMAZING with their breakneck schedule, still turning out such high quality product. I have a not-so-secret place in my heart that Hidden Legacy will join their library. I love them so much.
Tempest says
Yes! You and me both.
Shiloh Walker says
I love the graphic audio adaptations 🤩
Book says
Now I want cookies…
Thank you for the updates!
Monique says
Yes cookies. I wonder what type would Orro bake?
Patricia Schlorke says
All the good kinds of cookies. 🙂
AP says
I also love the GA adaptations and they’ve also spoiled me for regular narrations though I still enjoy those. I’ve bought GA adaptations of a couple other authors and have not been disappointed.
So very excited for tomorrow: GA drop plus it’s F-Roman-day!!!
Latoya says
Squeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Two months of releases to look forward to!! Huzzaahhh!!!!
Tempest says
Ahhhh. Happy sigh.
Thanks for the snippet! We have been snippet blessed between this and yesterday’s.
Mo says
Hmm, it took me, oooo, 10 minutes to get used to the “new” Sean. Great choice!
Arezoo says
I’m listening to it now and can we just take a moment to appreciate the new Sean actor? Coming into a project 4 books in and replacing a main character is a huge ask and while his voice is different, the performance is all the Sean I’m used to and I’m really glad the production team was able to do such a great job replacing the actor who left. I’m officially happy with both Sean voices and that’s great.😁
Moderator R says
I’m so glad you liked the new performance!
AP says
+1

Sounds great! I’m totally into the purry cat voice. 😍
Thanks for the sound-snippet! And for everything. Your work is such a delight.
jewelwing says
That was fun! Great voices for the characters.
Brightfae says
Ah, life is sooooo good! Thank you HA and GA!
Kayeri/Darth Mom says
Now I may have to make cookies… =) I blame you, Mod R! ::absolutely pretend scowl:: =)
Kellie says
Woo hoo! Just bought it on the Graphic Audio App. I’ve been so excited for this one!
Mo says
Really pleased with the interaction between the voice actors for Dina and Sean (Nora Sofyan and Danny Gavigan). They banter well, they seem to feed off each other and sound like a couple. Very nice! Gaston is one of my new favorite characters in this reading!
Moderator R says
So glad you liked it! 🥰

Sweep of Hearts Audio:
If he had that deep baritone voice of Barry White, this old cat would have passed out!
Looking forward to buying this !!!
Julia says
Downloaded it yesterday and have heard the first run. Rather wonderful. Wrexyn is perfect! And Cyanide!
Cannot wait for March and KD 5.
Thank you for giving GA the okay to dramatise these novels.
Sou says
I’m so excited for the adaptations! I recently discovered it on my library’s Hoopla for the Innkeeper Chronicles and loved the production. I’m going to request all of them at the library for purchase.
BèlBlak says
I check the GA website regularly and just hit the pre-order button as soon as one of Ilona’s book comes up!
I was so happy when I got the email that SOTH was downloading in my app. I’ve got a four hours bus ride to a work related shing ding and let me tell you that the fact that the bus ride was cheaper by $200 had nothing on me spending 4 hrs blissfully listening to the graphic audio version of this gem!!! Whoo hoo…. Never looked forward to a bus ride this much 😂 😂 😂
I got the latest KD downloaded (that I might listen on the return ride) and pre-ordered Magic Slays. I love this series so much and listening to the full cast, I can’t even describe it. I can’t wait to hear Roman, OMG…
Sorry, rambling, will go now 😁
Alex says
Sweep of the Heart on GA was amazing.
Brightfae says
So good so good so good! I had a wonderful weekend listening while I did weekend stuff. When I did sit down to just listen, my roomie kept asking me why I was staring off into space. ‘Cause I was at GH!
The voices were wonderful – love the new Sean and Gaston is just perfect. He can be over the top flamboyant one minute and thoughtful and serious the next. It was also cool to hear Karat’s voice again. Love the continuity.
Thanks again for HA and GA for giving me such a wonderful adventure!
Roger says
Wonderful snippet, I haven’t listened to any G.A. adaptations so this is a treat.
I can’t afford to get the graphic audio edition. They are not over priced, but still, it’s out of my price range😳. I still treat myself to the ebooks, and some of the paperback books.
Magic Claims is a treasure. I can’t even remember how many times I’ve read it already.
On a separate note, do you know if Iron and Magic 2 is ever going to be released by the publisher?
This is a shame that it’s already written but isn’t being released. I don’t believe that international politics should have an impact on fiction / fantasy books. They don’t reflect real life. That’s why it’s called FICTION.
The BDH is missing out on a great series based on missplaced concern.
Thank you Mod R, and H.A. for all the hard work and especially for your tolerance of the ” gotta have it now now now ” BDH. I would go nuts in your position.
. The best to you and yours
Moderator R says
Hi Roger,
Several misunderstandings here:
1. Iron and Magic 2 has not “already been written”. There is no manuscript. I’m not sure where this rumour began, I think House Andrews once said that they knew what was going to happen and it somehow got misinterpreted to “they’ve already written it”.
2. There is no publisher holding it for ransom: the Iron Covenant series is entirely self-published 🙂. As is Blood Heir, as is Innkeeper, the Wilmington Years etc.
3. Finally, current international events have no bearing on Iron and Magic 2. A possible continuation to the Hidden Legacy series might https://ilona-andrews.com/blog/why-not-a-russian-hero/. And may I, very gently, say that sometimes real life *can* affect the people who write the fiction 🙂. Smile so you know I’m not chiding or upset.
I hope this helps.
Kellie says
Loved it even more in GA. So fun! Every time I hear Oomb of the Oomboles, I think of that song from way back called Mmmbop by Hanson. Hehehe!
Alice says
I have the single narrator audio version already and it is amazing! Over 16 hours of entertainment. And even better the narrator is Nora as well, just love her voice, other talented actors and the overall product. I will also get this dramatized version but will save it for my car trip next month! I absolutely feel spoiled with the GA versions, I wish other authors of paranormal romance category would also jump on board, I would definitely be a repeat customer even if I have the audio version already!
Lara says
just finished listening to it, it was so wonderful. ga do such a great job. they really brought that epic story to life. such a fantastic story and the ending always leaves me on the hooks.
Nicole says
I’m currently listening to sweep of the Heart on Graphic Audio, I’d love to read a short story about Marais and Donna starting at when Donna met Dina at Costco to after the spousal selection. I’d love to hear her description to Marais about what happened at Costco.
