I think I’m going to read Trees of the Emerald Sea next because my friend gave it to me for my birthday over a year ago and I need to read it. (I am terrible about reading books I own because I don’t have a deadline and I didn’t read a lot last year because I was finishing up my BS degree.)

I just finished a 6 hour binge read of This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me.
Good Lord when is the next one coming out????

    Location: US reader here!

    What’s on my nightstand?
A cup of high C to keep me up, a small magnet painting of Not an Orange, a mug of miscellaneous items including two hair sticks and scissors, and a book about ethics I’ve been meaning to get to.

I *just* finished Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan last night, but as an ebook, so not on the nightstand.

Until yesterday, I had the Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst and Savor It by Tarah DeWitt on the nightstand, but they went back to the library. Now, it’s just This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, which, after reading in three times from the library, I bought a copy of my own.

    In the USA.

I just finished Botanical Mischief from T.A White, first in the Cosmic Dryad series. It’s a companion series to her Firebird Chronicles, and happens in parallel to the sixth book Echoes of Insurrection. Both series are sci-fi, touch of fantasy, and a good dose of romance, with space wizards, plucky heroines, lots of danger and drama, and a good dose of humor. Competence porn abounds. I highly recommend them if you like the Kinsman series.

I am located in the United States and, due to a lack of new material, currently re-reading the Ring of Fire books by Eric Flint and many others. At this moment ‘1634 – The Ram Rebellion’. I only started this series re-read after repeating the Inheritance and This Kingdom for the 4th or 5th repeat each. In another week or two I might have to re-read Curse of Beasts and Magic again.
