        • I am half way through this book! I love how strong the FMLC is, and as always the writing is excellent.
          Just finished Dungeon Crawl Carl.
          I have also been checking out some of the more popular horde recommended books and really enjoyed them,now planning a reread HA favorites till I find another new read.

  3. Believe it or not, I’m reading This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me. I just got to the part where they are questioning Tillmar; two pages into ch 31. My night stand houses a book light, whatever book I’m reading -night time only-, folded pjs, and a cup of stale water. Oh, and I’m in the US.

  12. I just finished a book at like 1 am, so I’m inbetween books right now. Don’t worry, I have a pile of paper books and a list of library ebooks to move onto. I think I’m going to read Trees of the Emerald Sea next because my friend gave it to me for my birthday over a year ago and I need to read it. (I am terrible about reading books I own because I don’t have a deadline and I didn’t read a lot last year because I was finishing up my BS degree.)

  31. I am actually reading the entire Night Huntress series for the first time! I’m doing a lot of traveling this summer, so I loaded them all on my kindle and Cat and Bones have kept me sane during train and plane rides (and especially the 5 hours flight delay in Boston last weekend).

    I’m reading The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty, the second in her Amina Al-Sirafi series. Bada$$ female pirate, medieval period fantasy set around the Arabian Sea. Highly recommend!

  51. I am reading The Shrouded Queen by Ashley Tropea. It is very fascinating, very reminiscent of The Thief by Meghan Wallen Turner but Egyptian flavored. I am in the US!

  53. USA. Lots of titles on my nightstand, but I will follow the rules: Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales (book 3 in the trilogy) by Heather Fawcett.

    Fawcett’s offerings move a little more slowly than what I typically prefer, but the concept behind this trilogy has been pleasantly unexpected. I appreciate the Horde having recently recommended this line of novels.

  71. I just finished Tress of the Emerald Sea, by Brandon Sanderson. It’s been on my list for a couple of years, but my boyfriend finally convinced me to read it, and y’all, he was RIGHT!! It was really good, I highly recommend it.

  83. I *just* finished Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan last night, but as an ebook, so not on the nightstand.

    Until yesterday, I had the Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst and Savor It by Tarah DeWitt on the nightstand, but they went back to the library. Now, it’s just This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, which, after reading in three times from the library, I bought a copy of my own.

    I just finished Botanical Mischief from T.A White, first in the Cosmic Dryad series. It’s a companion series to her Firebird Chronicles, and happens in parallel to the sixth book Echoes of Insurrection. Both series are sci-fi, touch of fantasy, and a good dose of romance, with space wizards, plucky heroines, lots of danger and drama, and a good dose of humor. Competence porn abounds. I highly recommend them if you like the Kinsman series.

  88. I just finished re-reading Darkside Dare by Lois McMaster Bujold. I have been re-reading her Penric and Desdemona series AND also slowly re-reading (for the gazillionth time) Terry Pratchett’s Discworld titles, currently Guards! Guards!
