just finished Curse of Beasts an magic audio book and am looking around for my next read or listen. I’ve just had my second eye surgery in 2 weeks so I’m listening to books for another week or two. It’s pretty hot here in East Tennessee and we have similar issues with the. jungle trying to take over when it rains. I thoroughly enjoyed A Curse of Beasts and Magic and would love to have the pretty hardback. Thanks for the Maggie bits and pieces .

Do audiobooks count? I’ve been listening to a rare non-fiction: Please Don’t Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes by Phoebe Robinson. I started reading it but was able to check out the audiobook for my commute. The author is also the narrator and she is hilarious!

Live from France : I’m about to start my regular summer reread of the Fortune de France series by Robert Merle, a series of 13 historical novels mostly depicting the 16th and 17th centuries French wars of religion. Lots of political intrigue, spying, swashbuckling, courting and delightful old french words and expressions.
The most important item currently on my nightstand is the fan remote control, as we are in the middle of a heat wave.
I only buy physical books for older series I’ve already started with physical books – I’m running out of bookshelf space and you can’t make me part with a book. So no books on my nightstand at the moment. 😊
Anyway, my current ebook is Kim Harrison’s Three Kinds of Lucky. So far I’m liking it!
