An Arcane Hidden Legacy Giveaway

Blog, Hidden Legacy, Nevada Baylor POST A COMMENT November 28, 2025 by Moderator R

House Andrews have received their author copies of the Arcane Society Hidden Legacy Special Edition Box, which contains Nevada’s trilogy: Burn for Me, White Hot and Wildfire.

They are stunning hardcovers, with sprayed edges and dust jacket illustrations by the very talented @helena.illustrated. I have it on good authority that Kid 2, a book connoisseur, has immediately nabbed the set for her own enjoyment.

As per tradition, one of you also gets to walk away with the special edition box like a triumphant ferret at the end of a very shiny heist. And the best part (I think), House Andrews’ signature and personalised dedication are available upon winner request!

Giveaway Details

To enter, leave a comment below about something you’re thankful for. Doesn’t have to be a big thing, everyday appreciation is welcome.

This giveaway is open to US readers only. Unfortunately, previous packages we sent internationally were lost and the cost of international shipping is too high at the moment to incur those risks.

Only comments on the blog constitute valid entries.

If you are receiving this post in your email through the Ilona Andrews newsletter, click here to enter. To clarify for everyone who left comments about the link leading to the same page – yes, it is meant to do that. It is specifically for the people who are not reading the article on the website.

The winner will be chosen and announced next Friday, December 5th 2025 with the aid of a random number generator. We will email them at the address provided when they left the winning comment.

Please make sure to use an email you check! If we don’t hear back in a week, a new winner will be chosen. This has unfortunately happened at the most recent giveaway and I’d hate for you to lose out on the goodies.

I’m not entering, but I want to say I am very grateful that I get to hang out with the Horde (and our enthusiastic shenanigans) every day.

Good luck all!

There are so many things to be grateful for this year, health, family and friends. I guess the one thing I am really grateful for is a job. My industry has been hit pretty hard in the last year and I have seen so many people I know struggling to find work, so having a job is definitely top of the list.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for modern medicine (even as absurdly expensive as it is in the US). It discovered my wife’s breast cancer last spring, and even though we’re now about to start radiation treatments, the expectation is that she will be completely cancer-free by Christmas. Then with on-going hormone suppression therapy, her chances of recurrence should be down to a comfortable 2-3%. She and I look forward to many years of reading we can get from HA.

They gave me a discount the Sunday I was there with my 3rd animal. 3 visits in 4 days and all 3 of my babies had an emergent issue. They are all on meds and follow ups so I’m grateful they are alive this season and I spoiled the heck out of them with turkey yesterday. Fingers crossed I can still pull off magic of Xmas for my youngest this year without any more vet visits!

I am so very thankful for the communities I am a part of. Firstly my family who are composed of my sister, daughter, son, cousins, nephews and all the in-laws. I am grateful for my friends who keep me on an even keel as I travel life. I am thankful for the insurance that has connected me to the terrific medical professionals that work to keep me healthy. My neighbors who have been so kind to me (even cutting over grown tree limbs that I could not handle!!!) I am so so grateful for these people in my life. I am also grateful for authors who write wonderful tales that entertain me. To all of you, thank you.

This is going to sound odd but I’m grateful I notice now all the ways my hearing loss has effected and continues to affect me. I couldn’t figured out why on earth in grade school people’s most common insult was “stuck up B”. I definitely didn’t think I was better than anybody, my self esteem was a smoking hole in the ground. I don’t “sound” deaf bc my voice exists in the narrow stretch I can hear. And back then they didn’t have the tech to help my kind of loss. So people thought I was just ignoring them on purpose. Even now as a teacher, I consistently get marked down by admin for my classroom management bc my room is “too loud”. It’s tiresome. But now I see it and I don’t always internalize it as me being bad. No, I’m just deaf and that’s not a moral failing.

This is not your usual “thankful” post. We had to say goodbye to our fur baby, Max, 4 weeks ago and even though I cry every day, I’m thankful for the tears because it is a testimony of how much love he brought into our lives. 12 years was not long enough for me but I wouldn’t trade those years for anything. He brought me joy through some of the toughest times in my life.

My hubby was admitted to the hospital on September 29 with an irregular heartbeat. He was scheduled for an ablation on October 1st, but around 5am that day, he went into vfib, coded and after 29 minutes of shocks and compressions they brought him back. He was heavily sedated in CCU for 6 days and now has an ICD which is an implanted defibrillator and pacemaker.

They were going to call it at 20 minutes, but the doctor said to keep going. A nurse noticed that his meds were going through small veins which were inefficient and demanded they put in a central line, after which he started doing better. The long period of cardiac arrest didn’t cause any brain damage – his functions are all good. It’s almost like it never happened.

This is the most thankful I’ve ever been at any time in my life. Overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped get him home and healing.

Be well, everyone. And if you ever feel something’s not quite right, don’t be embarrassed to go to the ER and get checked out. Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for my cat who is nearing the end of her life. My husband and I adopted her from the shelter where she was giving up for “never wanting her in the first place.” She was 1 year old and so sweet and loving. She is now 18.5 years. She put up with the antics of our other pets, both canine and feline, loving our kids and still giving headbutts despite it all. She makes a great lap warmer while reading.

The ability to spend time with my family. Many members of the family are aging, or are facing increasing mobility and health issues and in the not too distant future the holidays will not be even remotely as full of family as they are now. I am deeply grateful for the ability to see, hear, and hug these people whom I love.
