One of my friends chided me for not promoting EMERALD BLAZE enough. Because you know, it’s not like it’s on the website’s front page and every third post talks about it. So here we go, a promotional post.
We made book. Book good. Buy book and read book. Book, book. Woo.
I am now whole 4 minutes late to work. I should’ve been in the office by now. I’ll see you later, hopefully with a proper post. Bye!
PS. Yarn still not here. Tried calling the post office. Gave up after 30 minutes on hold. Will try again today.
Molly says
I just finished Iron and Magic and I’m dying to read the second book. I know you don’t want to write it until after the panademic ends and the world is a little happier. But it would literally cure my pandemic depression if I got to read the second book. PLEASE!!! I love it so much <3 It's the best book I've read in years.
Ilona says
Dear Molly, you will have to hold on to life for the next year or so, because we have prior contractual obligations. Have no fear, we will write it. Eventually.
E says
Thank you for continuing to write during this pandemic, which is so emotionally draining.
I also was most excited about Iron & Magic #2 out of all your upcoming work and then Ryder eclipsed it. It’s like comfort food. Just what we needed.
Thank you, thank you.
I’m just hoping i’m not reading it in a post-U.S. election civil war. First pandemic, then protests (although hopefully some good will come from that) and now politics. Never needed an escape from real life more. The fact that you can produce under these circumstances is amazing & awesome.

I predict that whoever wins will crack down on all the nonsense, whether it’s Trump on the day after Election Day (November 3rd) if he wins or Biden on the day after inauguration day if he wins (January 20th). Or all the new mayors and governors in the cities and states where things have been the worst.
We survived 1968 without a civil war, and this isn’t nearly as bad.
Bill from nj says
It’s worse,in 1968 no one was threatening to invalidate an election or was trying to subvert an election ( and if someone doesn’t like me saying thatI am sorry, it is the truth, even Nixon never went that far). In some ways the civil unrest was worse, but the political climate today is worse, much worse.

We need a plan. Period. Even a mediocre plan that is well executed will save lives. It’s not too late.
When it comes to medical advice, Please, don’t drink the Orange Kool-aid. Honestly, demon sperm is not the problem here and none of the toxins recommended (Hydroxychloroquine, Oleander extract, etc…) will alleviate the situation.
We simply need to apply our common sense, lean into the science no matter how inconvenient it is to apply it, and attack our common enemy -which is COVID19- unrelentingly until it is extinguished from our planet.
There is so much genius in the world and so many good people who want to make a difference that it is inevitable that we will prevail. It will happen faster when we all get on the same page, hammer out a do-able plan, pool our break-through discoveries, and share the healing with the world.
Sleepy says
This is definitely true. If you can, I encourage everyone to VOTE! And if you are doing mail-in-ballots, best case see if you can drop off your ballot yourself at the polling stations rather than go through USPS. Or, send it in with USPS as early as you can. Scary times when you can’t guarantee that USPS will bother to deliver your vote….

+1 And in 1968, neither the Russians more the Chinese were invited into our electoral process by Nixon or anyone else. Everybody, in both parties, knew they were a danger to government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
jewelwing says
Nor the Chinese. Geez.

With the pandemic and related kid issues plus your leak disaster, I am amazed but very thankful that you write so much! I would be a basket case. Thank you for writing such wonderful books that take our minds off everything bothersome.
Cranky Aged Mama says
Count me in for eagerly awaiting Iron & Magic 2 & 3. Although I’m still cranky that you made me care about Hugh. He was such a bad guy! I still can’t believe y’all redeemed him.
Looking forward to more Alessandro Sagredo! Counting down the days!
Vonnie says
Amazing right? His father/god was a brainwashing drug.
He can’t even remember why he did most of what he did.
They rose to our challenge with that one!
LeAnn says
It’s all good. I’ve dedicated myself to rereading (yet again) all of your previously released schtuff. It’s a great memory refresher!! I forgot about Jim’s sister. I noticed in Magic Bleeds that there is reference to the “Georgia Supernatural Emergency Management Act of 2019,” to deal with potential epidemics. ????????????????????
Fess up. Where are you stashing the Tardis to get ideas from the future? Or should we just start looking for tortoises the size of houses and their occupant Oracles?
SuperJD says
Aww, you’re so sweet to respond!
I’ll go ahead and say that I liked Iron and Magic too, and am looking forward to the sequel. When you do write the next one, we will be waiting.

Take my money!! Take it all!! (Except what I need for cheese, fresh cherries and chocolate!) I want what you are selling!!! Heart eyes for every book but I am especially excited to see Julie/Aurelia’s story expand – she and Derek were always my favourite secondary characters along with Ascanio. I am also very very much in love with redeemed Hugh and if Elara were not so scary I would steal him for my own – if, you know, he were real – and I wasn’t already happily married…
But seriously, thank you for your creations! You make my world more magical!!

A new book? Where did this come from?
Just kidding, I track all of your releases from the moment you give the first hints of a date. I bet a lot of us that visit this site even have a countdown clock of some sort for the releases.

You can find the countdown clock on the home site. ????????

Meh, this post made me check my pre-order (from local retailer here across the pond) and my dead tree edition is now projected to be delivered end of September. I get why, I mean, international shipping is currently seriously out of wack and all books I have ordered from the US the last few months have had the same problem. Still. I will allow myself a little “meh” of disappointment before accepting this and just, you know, settle in to wait.
Breann says
I’m not sure where you’re at, but someone in Australia posted that they ordered from Book Depository in England and got their paperback on the 13th. I’m jealous, but maybe that could help you get it earlier? ????

Yep, that was me and I’m happily reading it at the moment. Presently on page 273 and savouring it. Then I can re-read it when the kindle hits 😀

I can’t believe you still don’t have your yarn. Good thing it wasn’t medication, huh?
I not only pre-ordered Emerald Blaze but when I went to cancel the soft copy from Amazon so that I could order it instead through one of the bookstores you linked, I saw that I somehow had 2 soft copies or 2 Kindle orders for Emerald Blaze on Amazon, although one of the orders looked a little weird. In any case, got it straightened out.
Oh, side note, I already got my link to the promised POV in exchange for ordering from a bookstore. It said to wait until after reading the book to read the POV. I have actually been good for 2 whole days and haven’t clicked on it but can I just say that it’s torture not to do so? Torture, I tell you! Cruel and unusual. (As opposed to the sweet and usual torture.) I don’t know if I can hold out another week!
Valerie says
OMG me too. I had kind of a crap day yesterday and could literally hear it calling me from my inbox.

We’ll see how I feel this weekend 😉

Bill from nj says
Boo hoo I pre ordered and haven’t got the link:(

Good job that you are in America found out from my family that just sending a package to Perth Western Australia from Sydney N.S.W. can take a month. All mail posted goes to N.S.W.
So you send a birthday card to your mum 10 miles away in the same state of W.A. and it goes all the way across the country (California to Florida)to get sorted and sent back. Makes no sense. Quicker to collect cards from family and drop them off.

Emerald blaze is next week.Let’s celebrate this!!???????????????????? saw the green water pistol and thought of Alessandro.
We get more Catalina and Arabella and Leon and Bern and Runa and Linus and Cornelius and Penelope and Grandma Frida.
We get fun and fights and snarky comments . New characters and villains. We get Sargent teddy, I hope, Zeus and Shadow and Matilda.
Finally , I know we will have at least one delicious meal.
Let’s celebrate ???? this .
Thank you
Yes, I ordered the book. I order all your books.
So sorry about the missing ????.
Dayanara López says
I agree with you! it’s honestly appalling how pushy people can be. Like, they have to explain the same thing over and over again at least once every two weeks (that I see, it’s probably more often) and even I’m annoyed by it. I’m sure the Andrews are sick of it.
I don’t know if people think they’re going to wear them out and just make them magically will the book out of thin air or if they think Ilona and Gordon are hiding the book under the bed for just fun a giggles, and all the nagging will force them to release the book.
Just stop. The book will be out when the book is out. Chill, get a dog or learn to speak Chinese. Just stop nagging people that actually has other things to do. Just because the Andrews are nice and polite it doesn’t mean you get to be all over them.

To save money they need to end Saturday delivery, I think America is one of the last holdouts.
I lied the main distribution center is in Melbourne, Victoria within spitting distance of Sydney, but they have Covid 19 again and the center is working short staffed in the whole of Australia they have had 438 deaths and 23738 positive tests I equate Texas to the whole of Australia as the population is about the same. The only difference they are able to close borders, mandatory stay at home, and totally control the situation with the population obeying the rules. W.A. has come under fire because they refuse to open the boarders it is twice the size of Texas and has had “9” deaths.
My family hears about Texas a lot in the news and they worry about us here in San Antonio. I work in a grocery store and tell them I keep covered and aware of the social distance rules(I don’t have health insurance). Che Sara Sara
Brittney says
Ending Saturday delivery might help a little but what really needs to be done is to go back and reexamine the 2006 law that Congress passed that required the USPS to pre fund 75 years of retirement and health benefits. 75 years! Tell me one other company in the world that is required to pre fund retirement benefits for people who haven’t even entered the work force yet! The same law also made it harder for the USPS to raise prices so it is getting squeezed from both ends. Before that 2006 law the USPS often turned a profit.
kommiesmom says
As I understand it, the USPS is required to deliver 2nd and 3rd class mail (magazines and junk mail) for less than it costs them – per Congress.
If they were allowed to charge a competitive rate, they would at least break even.
This true not too long ago. It may have changed, but I doubt it. I still get just as much junk mail as ever.
Bill from nj says
2nd and 3rd class mail is an albatross, the same politicians who complain about the post office losing money also refuse to allow them to raise 2nd and 3rd class rates. The other big cost isnt suburban delivery, it is rural delivery where density is very low,but attempts to make people go to the post office was net with anger.
The real problem is the pension scheme, that one was a way to try and destroy USPS. The other problem is the idea the USPS is a business, it isn’t,any more than USDA us not a business or the TVA that is responsible for billions in economic activity and loses money is a business.
Kelticat says
Armed forces.
Police departments.
Fire departments.
Public Schools.
Things that are Services, not businesses. Much like the post office should be.
Simone says
What you 3 said above plus ending door-to-door delivery in the burbs by moving to community (cluster) mailboxes. Closing some locations and moving to smaller spots in malls or other retail spaces. In Canada you can have a postal office in a drug store. But the pension funding is the big one.

One thing I never noticed about happy espresso guy – why can’t we get him a nice piece of paper? he’s using something on a manual advance typewriter on a piece of paper that looks like it should be a pirate map. Either he should use a proper pirate quill, or he should have a nice piece of paper. Maybe we can get him a laptop or tablet or something… This is my minor, inconsequential cognitive dissonance for the day. Back to work for me.
Good luck with the yarn!

About Happy Espresso guy, Every time I see him, I want to back slowly out of the room, quietly shut the door and lock him in. To me he looks like he is about to go wolf. Maybe pants and a shirt would help. I know, I know, my old age is showing.

I mailed via USPS two greeting cards to friends I haven’t seen in months, both live literally in the neighboring towns by me (my town shares a border with their respective towns). It took 4 weeks for one to arrive 6 weeks for the other. ????
I don’t blame my local area postal employees, I blame their administration who isn’t hiring replacements as folks retire. We’re down several employees locally. Washington Post had an article showing how the system is being impacted based on USPS data, some areas have more than 400,000 pieces of backlogged mail per HOUR. ????
And the problem is hurting small business. UPS and FedEx don’t have discount postage programs for small business, but the USPS does. When packages with orders take forever you end up with unhappy customers and canceled or refunded orders. All of this at a time when small business is relying heavily on the system as a lifeline during the pandemic. And I’m not even getting into the political ramifications for mail in ballots too. ????
If it’s not being shipped priority expect a very long wait. ????
Brittney says
Interesting map. The map says reduction in sorting capacity which is not necessarily the same as a backlog. I work for the USPS in a sorting facility and if that is letter volume that we are talking about you can run between 30,000 and 40,000 letters per hour per machine depending on how the machines are running. So a 400,000 piece reduction per hour means they have removed or stopped running 10ish machines at that facility. How big an impact that has depends on how many machines they had to start with. At the Boise P&DC we only had 9 machines before the pandemic started so that would mean they took everything but we are considered a very small plant. I know some of the bigger plants had many many times the capacity that we have so while still significant it would be much less of an impact. It also depends on what that reduction in capacity really is. Is it removal of machines which will have a permanent impact on that facility or is it that they are currently short staffed because of the pandemic or scheduled time off. That is a much more temporary issue and what we are dealing with on the package sorting side in our plant.
Bill from nj says
The other problem is chrome done the Trump stooge also got rid of overtime. He is backing down, the ACLU and done big law firms have been threatening legal action, and he could face legal action from states for attempting to hurt their ability to vote. He said he has stopped removing the sorting equipment, is signing off on overtime and is stopping removing mailboxes, and came out with this statement he had no intentions of hurting the election….anyone wanna bet how soon he gets canned now?
Tink says
What I’ve never heard explained is how removing the sorting machines was supposed to save money. Is there a lot of maintenance costs for them? Electricity?
Kelticat says
I put a thank you note for my letter carrier in my mailbox with some bills. Hopefully they will appreciate some positive feedback to counter the political situation.
Pollyanna Hopson says
lol. Good luck with your yarn
Penni Ferguson says
If your yarn is coming through the US postal service there is a main number for the postmaster general in DC that you can call to file a complaint. 800 275 8777 – It works. I tried to 2 months to get our local post office to replace the light for the US flag – which is supposed to be lit at night if not taken down….no luck. Called the postmaster general’s office and the light was fixed within the week. They even called me to see confirm it was fixed. Anyway…just a thought.

Maybe the BDH could help by writing promotional blog posts in the voice of characters in the book. The above is borderline Bug. Any other takers on making character voiced book promos for Team Andrews?

So true, Rachel. My life was so much less exciting before I discovered this site… On the other hand, without all the snippets here I probably would have gone stir crazy several months ago.

Thank you for the multitude of gifts you have given me and others. You are truly treasures.

I only learned about your blog as you were posting partial chapters of Ryder. During the pandemic, I’ve reread your books, and I’m chomping at the bit for the release of Emerald Blaze. I just wanted to say thank you. The Ryder excerpts added something fun and interesting to days that all seem to meld together as my husband and I quarantine. I felt real solidarity with your daughter because of her terrified dog, as we had two dogs that had to be medicated every 4th of July. Thank you for doing the blog.

I hope your yarn isn’t coming from China. I had several things that I bought while furloughed that came from China. Their shipping partner in the US was Putney Bowes. Pitney Bowes had my items for an average of 2 months BEFORE giving it to the Post Office. Once my items were out of Pitney Bowes hands, I had my items in less than a week. I actual talked to a customer service person at PB, prior to COVID-19, they only handled 250 – 400 packages a day. Now they are receiving up to 4,000 every day and don’t have the sorting/shipping capacity.
If your yarn shipping indicates it is being handled by a shipping partner of the USPS, congratulations, your package has now entered the Twilight Zone.

Your friend must not be a fan of yours, because those of us who actually read your books have known this book was coming since the last one was released.
I have a small package coming via FedEx, ordered on August 14. It’s due to arrive at my house on September 3. Today’s date is August 18, and it’s been moved from the FedEx warehouse in PA as of yesterday, still slotted to arrive at my home on September 3. I think someone walking his dog is carrying it in his hip pocket. I live in a tiny town with both a FedEx office and a UPS office to go along with the two USPS offices. If FedEx drove it west towards the capital of Ohio, it would pass by my front door today, unless they drove it overnight, in which case it’s already long past me. As of yesterday afternoon, there’s been no reading on that package, which could have been driven to my door from the place it was checked into FedEx originally, in far less than the 24 hours it’s been since it was last scanned. If it goes past me, then is returned back east to the office here in my tiny town, it should take until tomorrow to be ready to deliver to my door. But the projected delivery date stands firm. You need to check your original order and see what the delivery date promised was, compare it to your calendar, and if it’s past due, you need to raise a fuss with the seller. The seller paid the company to ship it after you paid the seller, and it’s their place to check up on that package to be sure their delivery time was made.
I’d be pretty ticked off about it, too, if I were you. You have contractual obligations you are meeting for creating books in worlds you have built in your own in your heads, and you are getting things done. In paying for that yarn, you made a contract with the seller to send it to you. It’s on the seller to get that yarn to you. You knit constantly, and you have a massive advertising engine here on your website, and you can bet that the seller will want you happy so you give praise for their goods. I’m not saying to threaten them, but a little mentioning of those things can’t hurt in getting them to light a fire under the delivery people. OK, yeah, I am saying to threaten them with a bad review, but do it nicely. You know, channel your inner Victoria, Julie, or Kate, and get that look on your face, then make the call. All your readers here are eager to hear your comments on this yarn you have never before knit, and gee, golly, gosh, it doesn’t seem to want to arrive so you can photograph, knit it, and discuss it with world.
Meanwhile, eight more days! I’ll have your book before I get my $19.99 item out of the clutches of FedEx. Dancing feet, grinning mouth, hands shaking, bated breath. Can’t wait!
B says
Ok will buy tx

already bought. can’t wait for book. ❤️
Emily says
Book has been ordered both in dead tree version and ebook version. I had the release date mixed up in my memory and thought it was coming out today and I am very sad to learn that I was wrong and I have to wait a whole ‘nuther week.
But, there’s a deleted Ryder scene to cheer me up.
stacy says
Preordered and waiting. I admit I know nothing about yarn, except what I’ve read from your posts. There is a small yarn maker Mountain Meadow Wool, website mountainmeadowwool.com I know they have alpaca yarn and wool types not sure on colors though (look mostly neutral colors) or weight. You might want to try them, just an idea but figured I toss it out. I pretty much know more about where the ranches and animals are then I know about yarn. Figure the yarn must be excellent quality cause this is a small town and it been going strong (ship out mostly not here business). Yes in that that state Noone believes is real.
stacy says
Or was that just Gordon. Lol long time fan thanks for all your hard work
Lisa says

Kari says

Kathryn Albert says

Jennifer says
This post cracked me the hell up. Thanks!
God, I still haven’t finished the last book yet–freaking coronavirus brain affecting my reading. I need to go finish it.
Ellen D says
Loving this post! Cover is pretty. Even if he doesn’t have an icicle penis.
SuperJD says
I never noticed the icicle thing before! *cringe* (Of course, I immediately had to go to the White Hot cover and see for myself.)
Gawd, all of those covers were… not my favorite. But the new art of Nevada and Rogan on the website, with him holding her wrist, with that look on his face… omg. Just, wow. Now THAT is my idea of a hot badass billionaire who cleans up pretty.
*fans face*
Anyway, I agree, Catalina’s covers are so pretty! I love this look.
Bill from nj says
Hmmm, the mail is starting to remind me of an old science fiction story where someone noticed they would mail a letter to Europe and it would get there before a letter sent to the next town, that it seemed to get there faster the longer it went. He mailed a letter to alpha centauri & the next day earth was invited to join the galactic federation for discovering the secret of interstellar travel.
Julie says
What?!?!
A new book?!?!
Laura from Chico says
I’m sorry you don’t have your yarn yet. KCRA-TV in Sacramento, CA, had a report on the buildup of packages in a local Post Office location such that the pile filled a parking lot. Some of the packages had been there so long that the printing on them was starting to fade. So you are not alone in waiting. Not that this makes it any easier.
Thank you for all your efforts on the BDH behalf. Audiobook preordered long ago and attempted to order several times since. sheesh.
Timk says
NBC News tonight showed a picture from a postal employee of a warehouse stacked with packages that have been there for 2 weeks. Saw that and immediately thought that’s where Ilona’s yarn is, but that was in NY and I don’t think her yarn was coming that way.
Rhonda says
For some odd reason I thought the book came out July so I spent most of July rereading the other books in the series. Did you not hear my wails of anguish went I went to buy my digital copy July 25? I spent most of this month either listening to or reading the Edge series. I also discovered the 4th book in the series. I kept thinking Sophie/sword why does does that sounded familiar? Ah, Innkeeper 2. ????
trailing wife says
Mine has been ordered for so very, very long. Practicing patience is good for me, I’m told.
But today I checked my public library‘s website; they have three e-books on order for 169 people waiting — estimated six months waiting time, which means at least some of them will give up and buy the book instead, and at least as many again will add themselves to the wait list. My library also posted a teaser sample that goes to partway through the second chapter, so I know who hired Alessandro. 😉 Amazon doesn’t yet have sample chapters for either Kindle or the audiobook.
Happy waiting to all the Book Devouring Horde!
Lora Tyler says
The two chapters have been added to the end of Sapphire Flames on the kindle addition. It is so exciting!
trailing wife says
Not my kindle, Lora — what am I doing wrong?
Sarah says
Love your writing and really appreciate your talent.
Already pre-purchased it and just with it was released this week rather than next week. What can I say – if am part of your book devouring hoard.
Ann-Marie says
I read your book promotion bit to my 11 year-old. He’s laughing his posterior off. ????
Lindsay says
I read book. Book very good. Purchased book in multiple formats despite receiving the arc. Can’t wait for Arabella’s short story and EB audio soon.
Penny Dukelow says
Ordered it first day it was available on Amazon. Love your books.
Tink says
Ordered it before it had a cover.
Lora Tyler says
Love it! I have already bought both the kindle version and you bribe buy of the paper version. Thank you so much!
reeder says
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I placed an order for postage yesterday. Some will go on postcards to friends kids to hopefully impart that magical “I got mail” feeling and it doesn’t really matter when it shows up. Plus I can order some nice ones from indie artists on etsy and museum shops which have been closed (which they/we also won’t be able to visit any time soon).
Also glad it is yarn and not coffee or chocolate. Not that yarn isn’t important, but lack of favorite caffeine is quite dire and chocolate would be melted out the of package.
Egosumcignus says
Weird typewriter dude is like an old friend at this point. Is it strange that I get excited when I see him now?
Cassandra says
Can’t wait for book. Book pre-ordered. Would love book early. Will wait patiently until Tuesday for good book. Goooooooood book.
Leigh-Ayn says
hahahah this is the best 🙂 Love your work guys xxx
Naz says
Book book. Woo hoo! So excited for the Emerald Blaze release.
Rose says
Well, if the naked cutie under only a sheet is in the book, that certainly makes buying the book even more appealing than it already was.
Melissa says
It’s a race! What will get here first? Yarn for you, or a new book for me?! Anyone have a wager?
Joyce MacPherson says
Best promotional post ever!!!
Yvonne A says
Thank you for writting, and for your great books.
ZC says
For some reason, I had it stone certain in my head that Emerald Blaze was coming out August 20, and went to make sure I had it ordered.
I was devastated, but the Ryder deleted scene helped soothe my pain. I suppose I can endure.
Ruth L. says
I really try to stay out of people’s political comments. BUT,,,, some of you are really delusional If you believe Trump will help in any way the post office. Do you even listen and hear him Speak? Ilona’s yarn is just a small example of the havoc he is bringing to postal service… especially in “his” republican states from 2016, that rely on postal service the most.(shake my head)
Ilona you just keep doing all the great work you do. Thank you. Thank you…
I have all your books in hard copies and ebook. Never leave home without you. :>)
Kelticat says
I just keep wondering why people are hating on the USPS. Personally I’m in favor of DeJoy having to pay for all the sorting machines and mailboxes that he destroyed. Especially if it cuts into his profits from the package delivery service he has shares in.
Rachel Rawlings says
With respect to the yarn delayed in transit, there is a form on the post office site where you can ask them to investigate your delayed package.
In my case, it went to the local post office, who fairly quickly and politely told me that they didn’t have my package. However, shortly after getting that reply I did finally see activity, so I think they nudged the post office upstream with positive results.
The form is found under the Help menu, “Find Missing Mail”, Option 2. Option 3 is Missing Mail search which means they actively look for your package.
I recently sent a package to Nebraska….it went there via Maine, i suspect someone tossed the box on the wrong truck, but it had to get from Atlanta to the end post office in Maine before someone figured that out.
If UPS, they have something similar.
Rachel
Myrine says
After reading your post, I went to check my pre-order and cancelled it…
And immediately ordered the book again, since I will be moving before it arrives and want it to be delivered to my new address 😉
mj says
hahahahah!!! LOVE the publicity!!!”We made book. Book good. Buy book and read book.” Its the BEST advertising ever!! lol!! Can’t wait xx
Simona says
Yes BOOK! Want book!
Take money and GIMME, GIMME book! Pls!
Leigh says
Thk you for the promotional info and the accompanying chuckle. Can’t wait.
P.S. Your USPS experience is personally very familiar. Poor USPS people. Another group of workers overworked, underpaid and very much under appreciated. They’re supposed to be a mail company not a shipping company. Apples and oranges IMHO on how they’re run.
Jeanann Stump says
I have ordered a hardback from Blue Willow, the e-book, the audio and requested it for my library.
Amy says
????I pre purchased it as soon as it was available, can’t wait to read it!
Ashley says
I am re-reading Sapphire Flames at the moment and Emerald Blaze is sitting on my table taunting me. So I am reading fastfast
Catlover says
Got an email from Shaklee the other day. Regular shipments have been extended up to 10 days, a three day extension. Out of country went up to 15 days. Such is life.
Lynn Thompson says
Thank you for the depressing— oops, Inspiring — post as I preordered already and am anxiously awaiting. Grin ROFLOL here.
Regarding yarn… I live near Greensboro N.C. I ordered something Saturday from Charlotte N.C. and it was shipped via UPS Saturday. According to tracking it went from Charlotte NC to Durham, N.C. to Alexandria, Virginia where someone realized it was shipped in error and sent package back to Durham. A contract delivery person hired by UPS delivered it yesterday. Meanwhile something coming from Columbus, Ohio via UPS with ETA of August 26 ( ordered Saturday too) showed up today (August 19) I figure it’s like whack a mole game in an arcade. So moral of story is UPS will eventually get your yarn to you as soon as third dimension releases it. Per Murphy’s law, that will be when you have no time to spend on project. I feel sad for you.
Ruby's Mom says
Did anyone else hear “book book” and think of the ikea ad?

Awesome

Vonnie says
If anyone is just chomping at the bit for etc. etc. book book book and hasn’t read Bayou Moon, that one has been my long-time favorite! I recommend you get it- you can get it immediately, and it will give you your fix for a bit.
Cindy says
I find it interesting that your novels are marketed as romance. I would say they are urban fantasy myself.
Ilona says
Hidden Legacy is a romance series. The books wouldn’t exist without the relationship between the couple. You could view individual books as UF, BURN FOR ME, fits the criteria, for example, but the trilogies when taken as a whole are definitely romance and by design.
Agata says
Oh the book is good! I got my copy 8 days before the official release day (thank you post offices and bookdepository policy to send book earlier to factor post office delays <3 I am seriously cosnidering crocheting something based on Catalina's wings ^^"
Le Ann says
I have started the Kate Daniels series aging, via audio book! So much I had forgotten. Also, listening to the story is different from reading the story. Between Hidden Legacy, Innkeeper Chronicles and bow Kate’s world, I have been well supplied with audio books for the past few months! ???? thank you! Happy to hear your daughter is on the way to recover and your family so safe and healthy.
Joanne says
I recently told someone that they look like someone I know but I couldn’t put my finger on it… until now. It was THIS GUY with the perfectly cut half croissant and espresso on a white bed!
Linda Alice Trainor says
Hi how come you can buy the book ‘ a dead tree on’ before the release date???
Lila says
Can’t wait to dive into Emerald Blaze, I deserve it, this year is… 🙁
Gen says
Oh that made me guffaw! Reader waiting for book. Want book. Good book.
Ursula says

Nevada: True
Marsha Barnes says
I preordered it months ago.
I only preorder 3 authors: the two of you, Patricia Briggs, and Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter series only)
Looking forward to reading it.
Helen says
But I already bought it? Do I need to copies?? (Joking)
Lydia says
Reading Emerald Blaze right now & it is so good!!
sherry says
Aaaa… i had to finish the book before I went to work. It is 12 now… I want to read it again. What happens next. I feel insatiable
Barbara Giacone says
Thank you for the use of my family name for a weasel on the take instead of something cooler like a supervillain
😛
Joke aside I loved your book
Ciao from Italy
Danny says
I love this post. I love your senses of humour, the odd bit of Dorothy Parker, Princess Bride and Scooby Doo.
Most of all I love that you are true to your worlds but I have to wonder in the Kate Daniels world where are the police mages and lycanthropes? Where is the army?
There’s a police force so there’s government and taxes.
Anyway loving your work…. I just read it too quick. If you want something cheerier will you be doing anything on the innkeeper series?
Stay safe, happy and skunk free,
Danny
Elisa says
Ha, what a fun book promo.
Mission accomplished.
*Off to buy book now*
