Ada and Bear are really having their (well-deserved) moment!
THE INHERITANCE has been selected by Audible for its September Monthly Deal. From now through September 30, Audible Premium Plus members in the US can get The Inheritance at the special Monthly Deal price.
A couple of important clarifications from the last time we announced a similar deal: the offer is US only and available to Audible Premium Plus members. Premium Plus is Audible’s paid membership tier, which includes one monthly credit as well as access to member-only sales and discounts such as this one.
And while I have you and we’re talking about clarifications, another one is due after the app updates and announcement this week. A few of the comments and emails have taken us on a rather … unexpected journey.
The Ilona Andrews app is an additional platform, not a replacement for all the other platforms.

If you are on Android and your version isn’t ready yet, if you don’t want another app, or if apps simply aren’t your thing, you are not losing access to Ilona Andrews content.
The free fiction already exists on the website, clearly marked, updated, organised and tagged by series.
Series reading order and character lists, quizzes, BDH Bingo, and the other things you are playing with on the app will continue to exist on the website too. The app simply provides the opportunity for more interactive features.
I’m also very touched that your Mod R farewell toasts are locked and loaded. I won’t tempt fate by bragging about my job security, but Ilona hasn’t mentioned anything, so I think we can hold off on those speeches just yet. [Nice try, you aren’t escaping, Mod R. We would self destruct – Ilona]
It wouldn’t be Horde if we weren’t running around in the teensiest bit of chalant panic. But this time around, it’s only new toys.
Wheeee! I love The Inheritance so even if I don’t do audiobooks myself, I’m happy it will find a bigger audience 😊

Oh lord, I never assumed the website was going away. How would you hook in new members who aren’t with Apple? And as nice as the app is, I don’t see myself using it as much as the website, frankly. This is a great website!

As someone who works in an office dealing with the customer service end of things this tracks. You can post information multiple time and multiple places and people will not see it. So it goes!

OMG. That was certainly unexpected. I thought my chalant level was high when I borrowed an ipad to check out the app while the android version is in the works.
I blame Steve for this. We need to add more enrichment to his environment or he will cause more of this type of confusion. I think a support ferret or two are needed.

Yay I’m so excited to pick up the audio book! I just finished my Inheritance reread inspired by the snippet from the sequel! So excited to see what Ada and Bear get up to in the future!

I do wonder how I keep missing all the drama. Honestly, though, it’s not a bad thing. I downloaded the app on my iPad, but every time I try to sit down and interact with it, I get pulled away. I will get my shot yet!

Yep – Even though I just read/listened to the Inheritance last week, it’s been on my devices waiting for me. Zero regrets on the full price listen, though. 🙂
Ilona, it’s obvious you, Gordon and Mod R are doing too much for us. No one believes in such a good thing. Or the rest of our lives are so bleak this overwhelming abundance is unbelievable.

For me the app is a hope to get new blog entries (with a pus thing announcing something new is there) time nearer to its release than I usually learn it vie mail newsletter. Means up to 2 days later.
Hoping for does not mean I am expecting it to come to that, it’s simply a hope.

I just re-listened to The Inheritance this week and was so excited for the surprise scene. I think part of my affection for this storyline is due to Ada being in her 40s. It’s so rare to have an “older” main (female) character.
Sorry that happened! One Horde lemming went over the cliff and more followed. We are just a bottomless pit of need sometimes. Can’t wait for the Droid version of the app, TKWNKM sequel and anything else that comes along…

For me it’s good to have both the app and the website. For example, I don’t check my private email as much as I do my work email, therefore I miss when the blog posts comes. But this morning I read this one first thing since the app told me it had arrived! 😊
I also love reading the free fiction which is better in the app on my phone then the website on said phone while waiting during my commute to work.
