It’s Giveaway Friday, squeee!

House Andrews have witnessed the Horde’s long-suffering battle with our most relentless adversaries, W*iting and P*tience.
To fortify morale, they are gifting This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me: 1 hardcover copy will go to a lucky US winner and 2 PDF ARCs to international winners.
To Enter:
Comment below and let us know:
- which country you’re from
- what your name would be, if, like Maggie, you would find yourself transported into a book (any book, by any author).
You can use your own name, make one up, or go full fantasy-protagonist and keysmash a lot of “y” and “z” into the usual unpronounceable creations. Have fun, Horde!
Giveaway Admin
This is a blog-only giveaway, only answers in blog comments count.
Winners will be chosen next Friday, February 27th 2026, with the aid of a random number generator.
The international winners will have to sign an NDA before receiving their PDF copies. This is not personal, but standard publishing practice to ensure the file will remain private with the winner. We appreciate your understanding.
For readers who are receiving this post in their newsletter email and don’t know how to get to the blog to make a valid entry comment, you can click here.
Comments are paginated, so the BDH chalance doesn’t break the blog (again lol). If you don’t see your entry, it means it’s on a previous page. Please do not resubmit, it is one entry per person.
Happy weekend and good luck!
Signed: Moderataria Rhae’zalyndrix, First of Her Name,
The Untouched by Sun, Lady of the Soggy Isles

USA.
Rhiannon (always loved the name but gave birth to boys and it didn’t suit either of them)
USA! My name would be Evelyn but nickname would be Little Ghost due to being pale, quiet, and unassuming.
As in, after getting stepped on (again) “Oh, sorry. Didn’t see you there Little Ghost.”
I’m from the USA and if I were transported into the Inn Keeper Series I would be Graybaby Kayaker Extrodinaire.
1. Canada.
2. Gyslain.
If I could get into any book it would have to be the Wandering Inn by Pirateaba. I love your worlds but I have read the Wandering Inn religiously and I would love to live in that world. I would keep my name, it’s weird enough already.
I’m in Canada and my name would be Emma. Thank you for the opportunity!
1. USA
2. Jongsi. (My parents gave me both an English and Chinese name, but I never get to use my Chinese name since it’s not my legal name. Would love to embrace that name if I was transported into a book.)
I’m in the US. My name would be Genevieve, Keeper of all books.
Really looking forward to this new fantasy series from you both. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I am USA – Oregon
My fantasy character name would be Rae (short for Aurora)

USA
I would totally be presumptuous and call myself Lady F.; and if/when prodded exceedingly for what “F” stands for, unleash a long, “The Lady Farandelle Halan Un’Domierre”, with a Tremaine worthy sneer and head tilt as I turned away.
US
Siobhan –
Celtic/Gaelic (& who wouldn’t want a little Druid in them?,) always thought it was so pretty when pronounced correctly, and I am of Scottish descent. The Edge book series would be my place to visit – because I think the people don’t seem super different from the gorgeous western NC Southern Appalachians, where I am from.
USA- and it would be something like Kaelin the Cranky!
Hello from Chile! My name is Sandy, though I’d choose something like Sandryelle Valentti — it sounds so fae and full of character. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy, but if I win, I’d be able to read it an entire month in advance!
USA – Cristina of the Clandestine Moss.
USA. Elowen Thorne: the kind of legend who doesn’t need a sword to command a room – though I carry one anyway, just in case.
Hello from Austin, TX, US!
Iris, my middle name which I really like but never use.
FRANCE
My name will be Nella Wil’ Sokal
Nella as the first name because it’s my grandma’s whom I deeply loved,
Wil’ because a fantasy series I really loved when I was young, written by Pierre Bottero, used this type of particule (Gil’, Til’, Sil’…). Bjorn Wil’ Wayard was an underestimated character, a knight very clumsy, but funny and extremely loyal.
Sokal because of Benoit Sokal, a famous comic designer, who helped draw the concept behind Syberia an amazing video game.
Of course I would like to be reincarnated in one of your books! Preferably in the world of Hidden Legacy which is a tad less violent (because I would to survive!)
Thank you for everything, I can’t wait to read the story of Maggie!
P.S. sorry for my mistakes, English is not my language
From US. I would call myself Sun in honor of my mom who shone bright.

My name Teia would stay the same. My parents liked the name Tia from the movie return from witch mountain. They say they got the spelling from the movie and the book. But every book and movie from 1978 that I’ve looked at the spelling is Tia. I hated the name as a child and teen. But as time went on I grew into my name. It’s a lot of fun to tease the parents and we all have such a great sense of humor and a love for books! thank you for this opportunity.

I’m from the USA.
I’d pick Barbara as a new name, as it means “stranger,” or “foreigner.” It may be a bit too on the nose, but my family does enjoy word games . . .
New Zealand
Tallulah Northnight
I was Blousey Brown in Bugsy Malone when I was 11. I really wanted to be Tallulah, even 40 years later, so here we are. Northnight for a touch of the romantic and mysterious, which is of course, totally at odds with the name Tallulah but it sounds good to me!

Canada
I think I would just go by Lee.
I’m originally from Romania, but I’ve lived in lovely Scotland for many, many years. That in itself feels like isekai. And re-imagining myself in a book IS my favourite hobby, but I’m always a new character, the one no one saw coming. And my name is always Mirai, which means ‘the future’ in Japanese, because I always know how it all turns out. Yeeey, this was so fun! 😊
From the US
My fantasy name would be Kialli, from one of my (other!) favorite authors. I shouldn’t admit that I have others, but here we are
USA
Aoife, Irish princess and warrior. Maybe I could help a certain Druid out. 😉
Thank you!
I’m from Switzerland. Not sure what book I’d want to be transported into (like most of the House Andrews books, many of the series I read are great to read, but terrible to live in). Maybe the Elantra series by Michelle Sagara? For the name, I’d probably go for something like Tanyra Mirielle or Mireille. Somewhat close enough to my real name, but sort of fits with the in-world naming scheme. No title though. There’s no way I could give myself a title and keep a straight face while someone calls me that.
USA
