  17. I am rereading (for the fifth time!) Jenny Schwartz sci fi series, The Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist. Five book series that has it all, romance, hard science, aliens, friendly AI, political intrigue and main characters that you want to invite home for a BBQ!

    (Also in the midst of my first time Kate Daniels Graphic Audio listen – substituting this for my annual re-read of the series. Enjoying it and cursing whoever is also checking them out from my library at the same time!)

  25. I’m in Malaysia and I’m currently rereading Black Dog Short Stories II, part of the fantastic urban fantasy series Black Dog by Rachel Neumeier.

    It’s a hidden gem that is big on family, and like many of Neumeier’s books, features highly competent and honourable characters (which is also what I love about House Andrews books!)

  56. I’m currently reading THE LAST MANDARIN by Louise Penny and Melissa Fung. It is a terrific mystery/suspense novel that grips you by the throat and won’t let go until you’ve finished reading. I’ve read THIS KINDOM WILL NOT KILL ME (by you know who, book horde!) 3 times now and have bought 3 extra copies to give to my daughter and two granddaughters. However TLM was is a good change of pace. I’ve about 50 pages to finish and it is excellent. But my heart belongs to Ilona, I own every book the duo has written.

  97. Hello from Germany! I just picked up ‘A fate of wrath & flame’ by K.A. Tucker from my library today. Can’t say if its good yet but it sounds interesting.
    Otherwise there is just my wake-up light (i hope that’s the right translation for it – Tageslichtwecker in german) on my nightstand. I can absolutely recommend that too – especially in the dark months.
